Peter Levy is very annoying tonight - breathing through his teeth to make that dreadful ttttthhh sound every sentence. Something very common with BBC Local Radio presenters who do this as well. Dreadful sounds.

He's been doing that years hasn't he?

Possible, I've got a new TV and it seems very noticeable on it.

Bless him - always at the start of every programme! Peter and Paul are having an OB next week live from Lincoln.

Calendar seem to be plugging their revamped website a lot - ok not a problem but the address they use on the in programme promos is itv.com/news/calendar whilst on the DOG it is still itv.com/calendar

And the longer address is very clunky for the presenters when they say "forward slash" each time. They opften stumble over that.

So why not simply "itv.com slash calendar" as it points to the right website.

Oh well - I'm getting myself agitated aren't it?!

The BBC still say www.bbc.co.uk/news when news.bbc.co.uk is available, unless they think people will put www infront of news.

You'd be extremely agitated if you watched Tyne Tees plug the website(s), is it itv.com/news and click on Border or Tyne Tees, itv.com/tynetees and finally itv.com/news/tynetees?

I'm baffled as to why Yorkshire doesn't use just that instead of Calendar, surely Calendar is a programme and not a ITV region or am I missing something?

Why would they say news.bbc.co.uk when the address is bbc.co.uk/news? Also they don't include the www.

Yes, Lincolnshire.
Yorkshire TV news has always hidden behind the Calendar name to be more inclusive of the bits of the region that aren't mentioned in the Yorkshire Television name.

Slightly more than bits - Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire, North Norfolk, North Notts are all part of the official coverage area from ITV Yorkshire

Tom Ingall drafted in to do Look North tonight because Phil Bodmer ended up reporting all night last night on the floods.

Remember it's the Yorkshire edition of Torch Relay Live on Monday at 7pm, presented by Christa Ackroyd in Sheffield.

Yeah, the problem dates back to a transmitter swap in 1974 - that's when YTV gained Lincolnshire and North Norfolk from Anglia. Before then, the Yorkshire Television name was representative of most of the region. Of course at around the same time, Humberside was created, meaning East Yorkshire was no longer part of Yorkshire (as it became North Humberside - thankfully reverted in 1996).

Look North Hull have misspelt "tomorrow" (as "tommorrow") on their weather forecast on Saturdays for about four weeks now. It's on the first page of temperatures across the region but spelt correctly on the second page so presumably someone misspelt it on the template and nobody's noticed. Still.

Email them and let them know? Or would that spoil the fun? Wink
