Peter Levy to present a programme called "The Queen and I" this Saturday on BBC1 at 5.30.

I'm sure there is a joke in there somewhere...

The EPG and the schedule on the BBC website suggests that Yorkshire aren't doing an opt in this slot, and also suggests that the Yorkshire and Lincs programme is 90 minutes in length. Which is almost certainly rubbish as they would be opting out of the network news bulletin.

Is Hull opting out while Leeds stay with the network a first?

The Y&L programme is 30 minutes - the EPG is wrong.

Pretty sure that there is a Yorkshire version - all english regions are doing one I think

And also pretty certyain Y&L have opted when Yorks havent in the past - but will be honest that I cant rememeber the programme but may well be a joint thing with East Midlands.

Well, they're opting out again on Monday for the torch relay in Hull. Looks like all regions are doing a Queen And I programme but for some reason not in the same slot, some regions did it weeks ago.

You may have noticed that Hull showed the East Midlands version of the Great British Story on Tuesday night rather than the Leeds one, as it was about the Trent and so presumably more relevant to the region than Leeds' show about the Aire.

Bit of a green screen moment there for Peter Levy showing the route of the Olympic flame. The maps didn't work on screen, may have been better on computer in the office!

It couldn't have worked better on Look North tonight with the olympic torch arriving at the end of the programme, but with enough time spare to do a leisurely closing montage. Harry & Christa both live in York with Amy Garcia back in the studio.

Duncan did a good job on Calendar live from York as well.

Is that the first BBC region that the Torch has actually arrived during the special programme & not after it?

Nope, also Look North NE. The torch arrived on time for that special too.

Peter Levy is very annoying tonight - breathing through his teeth to make that dreadful ttttthhh sound every sentence. Something very common with BBC Local Radio presenters who do this as well. Dreadful sounds.

He's been doing that years hasn't he?

Possible, I've got a new TV and it seems very noticeable on it.
