If it turns out that Ian White has been shafted to make way for an OB for the sake of being able to say they're live somewhere, I won't be impressed.

Especially if the OB doesn't add any value to the story.

It seems they're standing at the start of Look North now - it happens occasionally but I imagine with the late bulletin changes this might be a regular thing. Also - what in God's name is Christa wearing?

Christa seemed particularly off with Paul tonight. I know it's only banter but if you'd tuned in for the first time, you'd think different!

I didn't catch the start of the bulletin so I don't know if there's any changes to that, but here is a new graphic they have used. Apologies for the cap quality, I can only use my camera for regional caps at the moment.

Harry did a stand up presentation at the start, it was rather like he was at gun point, launching into the story about 0.1 second into the bulletin.

According to @nicola_rees on Twitter her OB had to be aborted due to "predatory chavs" - was that the late news or the 6.30?

Just had a look at the 6.30 in Iplayer, and unless they've edited it can't see any problems there. Really can't see the point of the OB, it didn't add anything to the story.
