She was doing the final link from the Olympic Park. The closing montage music started under her talking, she assumed she'd been cut off so she threw her hands up and said something in silence that looked like it might have begun with the letter F!

There's some clips on Youtube of Ian White when he first started at Look North in the late 90s

Had a look on the I Player, surely it would have been better to let Tanya finish than cutting to the VT like that. Doesn't look as though the package was designed for a voice over.

If they were running that short of time Paul could have handed over to Tanya cutting out the banter with Phil.

That look Look North (with the Ian White clips) was the strongest for me. Great titles and music

Look North now on air, single headed with Tanya Arnold.

.. and Amanda Harper will present the extended bulletin at 10:25 rather than Tanya & Phil.

Meanwhile over in Hull - Peter Levy presenting the late extended Look North. Would not expect any other - like the old days!

Might be worth noting that the Look North studios are open on Saturday for a tour, but you have to book - so give them a ring!

Also interesting to see Paul Hudson has stayed behind to do a live weather forecast on the extended bulletin- he always pre-records the late!

What number do you ring on, can't find anything about the tour on the website.

The tickets are available here http://www.wyp.org.uk/ as part of the Quarry Hill Festival.

Sadly all 120 tickets for the BBC tour are sold out

You've more chance of watching the 100 metres in the Olympics! Laughing

Lol. Thanks Andrew. Strange that on the BBC Tours website, they haven't got a tour set up for Leeds. If they can do one for Nottingham, which must be a similar size, why not Leeds?
