Any ideas about the new studio, can we expect to the return of the desk and something similar to the studio in Hull?

Have to say that the background in the temporary studio looks appalling - glad it's only for a few weeks

It does look a bit shoddy. Perhaps Christa could bring her iron in to smooth out the bumps and creases in the panels.

Insert comment about what else she irons before going on air...

Another week at least in the temporary studio aka office yet.

That is really bad - it looks like a set of coloured photocopies stuck to a bit of hardboard - at least no one can accuse them of wasting money.

Or just a strip of card across each of the joins, to look like the lightbox frames in the old set wouldn't be too bad.

The Politics Show is back in Leeds this week, the addition of a plasma really improves the set, and this backdrop looks a lot better than the Look North one.

I know this is TV really but...

Mayhem in Lincoln - BBC Lincolnshire's William Wright Drivetime show still going now at 8.15, traffic gridlocked in Lincoln. Doing a sterling job - this shows the real value of BBC local radio.

Meanwhile - This morning on breakfast Rod Whiting fell for one of the old fashioned joke names - read out an email from Betty Swallows !! Laughing

Out of curiosity, what has been the longest ever specially extended breakfast or drivetime due to weather conditions on BBC or Commercial Radio without a change of presenter?

Betty Swallows - That's normally a good if naughty way of seeing how awake / alert the Early / Breakfast presenter is!

Mike Hunt's normally a good one, along with Wayne Kerr!
