There was a failure at Holme Moss transmitter for about an hour and a half at teatime tonight.

This knocked out BBC Radios 1, 2, 3, 4, Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester on FM to all of the area.

I had to resort to listening to The Pulse, who were doing a fine job, at least we don't have Heart in the north.

Badly timed with the traffic chaos on the M62. I resorted to Radio Leeds on AM.

A power cut and the generators weren't cooperative, as I understand it.

Andrew Edwards signed off today after 15 years presenting the BBC Radio Leeds breakfast show. Martin Kelner takes over from next week. I doubt he'll last 15 years as he seems to fall in and out of favour each time they change management.

Has Kate Webster left for good?

She presented Friday evening's Calendar, so no.

Andrew is coming back in the Autumn for a new daily show - it's been suggested he'll be taking over drivetime. I hope they can find a regular gig for Vic McGlynn who is doing swing shifts and remarkably travel news which is a real waste (with no disrespect to travel broadcasters).

Hopefully they'll find a replacement for Alex Bellfield in the reshuffle who made a real arse of himself on the gardening slot recently

Christine Talbot made a rare appearance on Sunday to present Calendar. No obvious reason, apart from there being that major crash on M1/M62 mid afternoon, but the reporter sent out there was Sally Simpson who I couldn't have seen being the scheduled presenter.

Anyway always good to see the main presenters working out of shift now and then

Just wondering, does anyone know when and if Clare Frisby will be back from the Breakfast bulletins? Always thought she was very good.

That was excruciating. What a knob.

To carry on like that beyond more than 15 seconds makes him like Alan Partridge.

Did Belfield have a 'proper job' then?

We only got him in the Midlands on cover work or that celeb interview show he did!

Any news on when Clare Frisby is back from her maternity leave? She was always superb on the breakfast bulletins..

Alas Clare is superb but Im sure she will be off for a little bit longer yet.
