No, because they had updates in 2008, when the new look was introduced.

They do now use a modified newsroom view thing on their screens though:

That EMT set is awful, the screen behind the presenters is pixelated and blurred when close up shots are used. They need a new set more than Look North Leeds does, and the Look North set is bad!

Personally, I still think that the Look North set has the edge in terms of awfulness. It just looks so home-made and amateurish.

EMT also has far better lighting from the look of it. I do hope they upgrade the wattage of Look North's studio light-bulb when they revamp the set. Wink

Indeed - she was very good yesterday I thought, already chatting easily with the presenters.

And dare I say that Look North is far better when she's presenting than Christa... Smile

The set is a nightmare to light - orange from the covers of the lightboxes gives an horrific orange-ness which the lighting grid just can't cope with (it's not a great lighting rig, as you can tell!).

About time Amanda Harper had a break from the breakfast bulletins, they must be very tiring after a while. She's been presenting more lunchtimes recently as well I noticed, and now she's on the late bulletin.

Tom Ingall was presenting the breakfast bulletins this week, surely someone else can cover instead of dragging Tom from Sheffield?

It's not exactly far lol - and he may like doing occasional presenting!

Amanda's been very good on breakfast imho.
