The 'B' or possibly 'C' team in charge on Look North tonight - Phil Bodmer and Tanya Arnold with the last full length Look North before Christmas
I was surprised it wasn't Harry and Christa for the last Look North of 2009. Phil Bodmer seems to be presenting the main edition more than Ian now sadly.
If the budget is there to get somebody else to do the programme rather than use Ian who is already there for the afternoon update and the two evening bulletins it makes sense to bring Phil or whoever in.
However I suspect Ian has a hand in producing the 18:30 programme behind the scenes when he isn't in front of the camera, so I guess it also depends on whether those duties can be covered to free him up to present.

She did the pre recorded weather on LN Hull so sounds like it. Actually rate her very much - very clear presentation of the weather.

She's done a few of the 8pm updates before Christmas - on nights that Ian was there for the late news so maybe they're deliberately trying to get her to present more. Now Graham Liver's gone there's obviously a vacancy for a Saturday presenter and maybe she fancied it (plus there's an obvious cost saving if she can do both!).
