Nice to see Kerrie Gosney in the studio on tonight's Calendar, she very rarely appears except at weekends

Did anyone see last night's Look North, Ian White came to work yesterday and left his voice at home by the sound of it.

By the way, can anyone remember when Calendar first got their current corporate set?

We've a new sponsor of ITV Yorkshire weather this month. 'The Garage Door Company' was very short lived, only taking October.

So today's first Saturday lunchtime Look North was presented by Graham Liver who regularly does the evening Saturday bulletin. Although he's off to Radio Lancashire in a few weeks time so that won't last too long...!

So they'll need a new Saturday presenter and a new stand-in brekky presented when Clare disappears for a few months.

Presume Ian will do both the Sunday bulletins - they must love the prospect of having to stay until 10.20pm on a Sunday Smile

I didn't know Graham Liver was leaving, do we know who is replacing him on the Radio Leeds morning show?

No, it was only announced couple of days ago.

He's going to replace Tony Livesey on BBC Radio Lancashire breakfast show - he's of course going to replace Richard Bacon on Five Live who's replacing Simon Mayo who's replacing Chris Evans who's replacing Terry Wogan.

Clear? Smile

That's because she's been down at Manchester in Granada Reports' studio, usually covering Fred Talbot's days off. But if it's a weekend we usually get Emma Jesson this side of the pennines.

Does anyone else think that David Hirst is a dreadful presenter on Calendar? He's so wooden.

He is very loud, I don't think they bother with a microphone when he is on.

Agreed also - yes loud and shouty. Much better presenters been given the heave ho, but I guess he is sport during the week when John Shires is not doing it! (Is there enough sport on Calendar these days to justify one salary let alone two?)

As noted in West Midlands thread, noted back to the good old days with Levy doing Sunday teatime (and new late) bulletin yesterday. Ian White follows in Levy's footsteps well! Mind you, I am sure in the old days, Levy used to do breakfast and late bulletins in the week?

What are BBC Hull playing at using the iPlayer to get clips of the Graham Norton show as part of a package... couldn't they get broadcast quality clips, or couldn't they be bothered asking?
