Cockup into Katherine's swoon fest, erm I mean 'Seven Wonders of Yorkshire with Paul Hudson' tonight. Viewers in Yorkshire on no doubt analogue only got to see the BBC London ident and announcer telling us about the Seven Wonders of London with Bill Oddie before we crashed into the start of the correct programme.
Are the instructions for the new equipment at 2 St Peter's Square written in japanese or something?. Note Katherine investment in new equipment is no good if nobody knows how to use it!

Belmont had a seamless intro into it; Acrobats ident, 'Yorks & Lincs' on the One graphic.... no problems.
It seems that four of the natural wonders featured were common to both Emley and Belmont. Hornsea Mere, Spurn Point, Flamborough Head and Thorne & Hatfield Moors were on both, while Belmont featured Gibraltar Point, the Lincolnshire Wolds and the Wash.
Emley (once I'd realised that there'd be variations!) had the Three Peaks (Whernside, Ingleborough, Pen Y Ghent) and Aysgarth Falls on it. I must have obviously missed the third one unique to that show.
Good viewing, especially as I'm doing the Three Peaks next spring! I am not sure I'm with him regarding the variety of scenery, the Lake District gives Yorkshire a good run for its money. Lake Windermere, Coniston Water, Derwent Water, Skiddaw, Sca Fell Pike...... and the view from Sale Fell is worth the exertion!

perhaps they could employ a forecaster of their own - it would make sense.
Have you ever seen Morecambe perform without Wise?

If they are adamant they are going to have a full half hour for East Yorks and Lincs then they need to bite the bullet and record the forecast and put it out at the end.

Well, you've started something now haven't you, we're having to sort out who's Eric and who's Ernie. I can do without this added pressure on a Sunday eve.

Katherine do please keep to topic or I may have to call an emergency board meeting of the TV Forum Watch campaigners.
You won't be welcome unless you bring a plate full of coconut macaroons, so think on.

Well, on tonight's show, a slightly different feel to Hull Look North..
Vicky Johnson reported on the lack of NHS dentists in Lincolnshire, featuring vox pops, and Peter Levy questioning a member of the British Dental Association.
The second article reported on a racially-motivated incident concerning Boston United goalkeeper Nathan Abbey from last weekend's match. Simon Clark reported from Boston's Princess Royal Sports Arena (15 minutes from my home), and Nathan himself was interviewed from Manchester.
Third on the list was an update regarding the Bichard Enquiry, particularly focussing on Ian Huntley. Oddly, the first Hull-centred report wasn't until the fourth article regarding Humberside Fire and Rescue. A short report followed about the heightened possibility of a direct Lincoln-London rail link.
Report number 6 was about the controversial placement of a 100-foot high fair ride at the end of a street of terraced housing close to the site of Lincoln Christmas Market. Paul Murphy did a live O/B interview with a resident who was concerned about the effect the ride would have on the quality of life for the rest of the residents in the street. Afterwards, a statement from Lincoln City Council was read out.
All this before the weather (18:44)! A small amount of banter with Lisa beforehand, and I was delighted to see her using another of my placename ideas: Constable's 'the Hay Wain' (famous painting). Paper review followed, then the results of a competition.
Norman Collier was then intereviewed in the studio about his new panto in Hull, which was slightly different as all the other parts in the panto are to be his relations! There was also a report about one of the rehearsals. Tim Vincent will be on the show soon. The final report was about the BBC's 'Big Spell' initiative.
Looks like Lincolnshire got the lion's share of the reports tonight!
