I presume this also applies to the Walsden and Walsden South transmitters which were mixed BBC NW/ITV Yorks?
I suspect the changes have been because they're basing the DSO timetable on the ITV regions, and when Granada switches there won't be an analogue BBC NW signal to relay.
Did North West Tonight report the goings on of Calderdale Council, particularly at local election times?
Paul Burland announced tonight that tonight's football round up was the last ever one done by John Helm, after many many years at YTV.
Out of interest, you know the 'Welcome to Yorkshire' advertising campaign that is running at the moment and is also sponsoring Heartbeat.
Are the stand alone adverts airing in your ITV region? I'm interested in how far across the country the Yorkshire tourist board have extended this campaign

I'm sure I've seen it here in the Tyne Tees region, I would have thought it would also air on Central, but I don't know.
I seen Frazer Maude on Sky News this Saturday, though I'm sure I watched him the other weekend on Yorkshire, is he freelancing?

I've seen them being advertised on Granada and nationally aswell, mainly on UKTV for some reason. I guess it's overdue for Yorkshire to have their own toursism ads, North West have had some here and there in the past, One North East (ONE) I've seen here and there, aswell as Scotland, Wales and Ireland which have been plugged to death.

Yorkshire tourism ads are nothing new. This one was from last year. The latest ones though, do seem a little more high-profile... or maybe they're just a better concept.
Incidentally, I saw the yellow 'Y' symbol on 'Welcome To Yorkshire' banners attached to the lamp-posts outside York station yesterday.
I see forum reports on DS that David Lloyd is stepping down from being Head of Region for Y&L to go back to commercial radio in Midlands re buyout today of Heart106, BRMB, etc etc
If true then that must be the shortest stint as Head of Region - 15 days I think!?!
Saw him at BBC Hull last week and seemed to be up for it, so a little surprised he's gone back to commercial radio
Also interesting that there will be a live special online edition of Look North on Sunday at 7.30 simulcast on Radio Humberside. This is to cover the big matches for Scunthorpe United and Hull City.
That well known sports presenter - Peter Levy - hosting
Levy this week undermined Tim Iredale's position of political editor by insisting on interviewing Scunny's expense claim M.P. Elliot Morley - Levy's fake hard face and reading questions from cards required a heavily edited interview and poor old Iredale was left in the street to do a live O.B. into the programme.
No wonder they can't keep the staff at Queenies Gardens
Come on Peter is our main man and leader! Levy the leader. We need to here come on its good enough, is it? Whats your views on this issue this evening...good evening young man....
Useless fact I know, but I noticed Kezza Gosney's got a tattoo on her ankle. I thought it was cool to see both of YTV's weather presenters though I guess Mr Mitchell's been on holiday this week.
