Could it be that the back wall is a combination of the middle section being a projector, and the sides (you can see there is a join) are photo blow ups?
Nothing really radical - just a bit of back projection and a few flats. I was under the impression that anyone in 'the know' in ULL had been warned off this website unless they want to incur the wroth of Birmingham
you never give away anything that might give an advantage to the competition. Basic common sense really. Plus you especially don't want to give good new ideas away. The magic of telly eh!

There won't be all that much competition left in the future though will there.

Very little in the way of competition left.
What happens when Calendar move in, the luvvies won't like that 'squash up sweetie - keep off my side of the desk!' better still in Leeds Christa & Duncan sharing a dressing room
At least when Auntie does her next round of cost cutting we might get a decent programme for the whole of Yorkshire rather than having to watch items featuring flower arranging from Kings Lynn.
Just posted this in the YTV closure thread, but thought I'd mention it here too in case anyone's interested. There's now a 10 Downing Street petition to save the ITV Yorkshire studios.
Not sure what good it'll do, but can't do any harm I suppose.

Will the transmitter footprints be any different for Freeview then? The reason Hull covers Kings Lynn is because the viewers in Kings Lynn get the broadcasts from Hull, not Norwich.
Unless the transmission footprints change, this is unlikely to change. Believe me, the viewers in Kings Lynn couldn't care less about Yorkshire, and many would rather be able to watch Look East from Norwich (but without satellite they can't)...

Kings Lynn is served by a special UHF relay that carries BBC 1 and ITV East. It's a bit messy of course, because for BBC 2 and C4 they still have to use Belmont, so I don't know how many of the town's good people have a dual aerial set up ?

Interesting - I didn't realise such setups existed. Looking on the Digital UK website it would seem that after DSO the relay will get the three PSB muxes in common with most other relays. Although if you want the full six muxes you'll still need to point your aerial to Belmont.
Isn't the King's Lynn (and there is also a Sandringham one as well I believe?) relay quite low-power though - so the rest of North Norfolk still points at Belmont for analogue BBC One/ITV1 and Freeview - or has it changed?

Well the KL relay is 339 watts, not massive, but probably adequate to hit most of the town's populated areas. There are two others in N Norfolk too, Burnham and Wells next to the Sea, but you're right, the rural bits in between that can't see Sandy Heath or Taccy are still forced to use Belmont.
There's a number of similar sites.
Derby, a Waltham relay carrying E Mids ITV/BBC1
N Winchester, Hatch Bottom, Hythe Marina:
Three ITV only relays carrying Meridian South (Rowridge) for viewers in South Hampshire that are served from Hannington (Thames Valley) Totally superflous since last month of course!
Bagillt, Holywell , Fflint
Carrying BBC 1 Wales, and S4C for viewers in North East Wales that are forced to use Winter Hill (Granada/ BBC NW). These three relays will close at DSO, and be replaced by a special Welsh beam from the Merseyside transmitter Storeton.
Thinking about it now, there are of course a few standalone Channel Five analogue transmitters, such as Churchdown Hill in Gloucestershire. AIUI these will be decomissioned at DSO.
