It is a shock. I would have thought they'd need 2 presenters unless Jon is going to work 7 days a week and never take holiday, plus Jon often does other reports for Calendar during the daytime
Unless it's a case that they would get the likes of Jo and Debbie back as freelancers to cover these periods
Or maybe Granada could be getting Jo or someone seperately, what with Tyne Tees not going with the Leeds team as previously expected
I take it Jon Mitchell would continue as the ITV Yorkshire chief presenter (also appearing in the studio) and present forecasts for ITV Granada too. With Philippa Tomson the ITV Tyne Tees & Border chief presenter. With Kerrie Gosney presenting ITV Yorkshire/ITV Granada/ITV Tyne Tees & Border forecasts at weekends. That if Jon and Kerrie are leaving soon..
All the early Look North team got in safely this morning Clare Frisby announced. She was also pointing out the importance of having Lisa live in the studio rather than a London recording. I imagine they've had to fight for this over the years.
On BBC Radio Leeds (as on many other BBC local radio stations I imagine) all entertainment was suspended during 'Andrew and Georgie' at Breakfast. They were reading out school closures every half hour but because they took so long to read out, by the time they'd finished and had the news, weather and travel, it was time to start them again!
I noticed a few weeks ago the Levy Letter has stopped being published! The internet is now a darker place.

Just seen Rachel Phillips with a report on Calendar - strange as I thought she left ITV Yorkshire a couple of weeks ago. Anyone know if she's freelance now or something? She certainly doesn't present the Monday late bulletin anymore.
Not read or seen anywhere who the presenters of the new Calendar are going to be, anyone else heard anything what's happening with the programme in yorkshire, i.e. presenters etc ?
