Is Calendar's series of features about coping with redundancy supposed to be ironic given the impending loss of one of the editions of Calendar and associated job losses?

Jenny Hill was on Breakfast this morning. A good attachment to get.
Meanwhile, Madame Ackroyd, looking like she's ready for a Friday night stint in a brothel, will be seen interviewing Melanie B in a Tesco. And her face is definitely more orange than the rest of her body. (Christa, not Scary - or is it the other way around?)

She's reading this thread... Mrs A just mentioned "When Scary met Scary Spice" in the "Coming Up".
Another bugbear about Look North: how after the end of each report, the presenter will go "Thank you, (reporter's name)...". Yes, it's courteous, but it is irritating.

I didn't realise she'd never done the main programme before until Harry mentioned it. I think she's rather good.
I cant understand why Clare is never allowed to present the main programme again - shes the best!
She doesn't even get to do lunchtimes thesedays, pretty much every other presenter has done the lunchtime in the past year but never Clare.
Even if she is a bit shouty, she's still better than Carolyn Hodgson. They also don't allow her to present any bulletins during PM hours!

Does that coincide with her starting to do the Politics Show?

Yes, she's far to loud for me too in the mornings plus she has the annoying habit of useing the phrase "going to be, going to go or gonna be" rather than the correct "will be" or just "going" - a minor point I know but it really grates with me. i've taken to counting the number of times in short Bully she says it - top so far is four times.
'Going to be' seems fine to me such as 'today is going to be cold'. Perhaps it's a Yorkshire phrase?

Chrissy Reid does do the occasional report for Central East, usually stories from north Notts or north-eastern Derbyshire.

There was a report from former ITV National Weather presenter Chrissie Reidy on Calendar News tonight
It was a story effecting Nottinghamshire so I imagine it was a report borrowed from Central News

Not about the weather - "so and so is going to be at" should be "will be"
and Look North cannot "going to go" it is "we will be going later" etc
It's just her grammar is bad at times and I don't notice it when others read the bulletins.

I also hate the way people misspell the word "using" as "useing", or the way people forget to capitalise "I", or the way people get "to" and "too" muddled up, or the way people don't use quotation marks properly, or people who generally have poor grammar.
"Going to be" is not grammatically incorrect. Neither is "gonna be" - it's informal, however.
