It looks like Debbie Lindley is leaving, she's doing her last forecast tommorow

Shame, I prefered her over Kerrie Gosney, I wonder if she'll mention her exit on the other ITV northern forecasts? I noticed yesterday she didn't seem very smiley, as she normally is.

There's (I think a new) clip of Christine Talbot presenting North West Tonight in 1993

Like many TV Presenters, she actually looks younger now, and for some reason seems to be using an over the top posh 'newsreader voice'

I agree, she does look a lot younger on Calendar now and I think she is beautiful.

Have you noticed how much younger Christa Ackroyd looks now? She looked really old when she used to present Calendar in the 90's but now she looks so much different and so much better.

Christa Ackroyd looks better? Now that *is* wishful thinking.

Talking about Christine Talbot, she unsually presented the GMTV bulletins from 6.35am this morning. Not often you get the main presenter presenting such off peak bulletins

Wow cant believe it - Christine!?! Surely the last time was the sad death of the very great Richard Whiteley when Duncan presented the GMTV Bulletins.

It was John Shires this morning

What's even stranger is that these shifts don't include any other bulletins as someone else is doing the lunchtime bulletins

Maybe this means that these presenters have definally got a job after the cut backs?

On yesterday's Calendar they said farewell to Peter McNearney after 21 years on and off screen

Seems there may be a bit more to the weather situation than just Debbie leaving - apparently Jon Mitchell signed off a forecast with "might see you again soon", leading to speculation elsewhere that weather from Leeds may be disappearing completely.

Could that be code for "I'm off to Look North - see you there?"

Are you sure it wasn't, "Night - see you again soon"? Laughing
