The Queen's Speech response was pre-recorded and is now on following the extended edition of Look North. The guy who does the voiceover on the 18.00 ident introduced the delayed Queen's Speech, not sure if it was live or pre-recorded.

Didn't see Calendar, but the Look North coverage has actually been good - thorough and well-presented. Good to see some reports attempting to portray Dewsbury in a positive light, too.

Did we have to have a shot of Christa's nipples showing under her coat as she stood on Dewsbury Moor, though?

I'm not sure it was the same voice - it's usually Stuart Barrett, formerly of Radio Leeds but now at Radio Manchester. I'd imagine it was pre-recorded, especially as there isn't a presentation suite at the new building. I was expecting either the network anno to have been recorded or Ian White to do it live.

Is this going to happen? There's a Panorama special at 8 so I guess it might be a bit over the top. Plus there's a Party Political Broadcast just before 7, so I guess that might cause problems.

So we've got an hour long Look North, an hour long networked Panorama at 8, plus 15 mins coverage on the national news

By the way, completely different but ITV1 Yorkshire are repeating the YTV at 40 series starting tonight at 11.40pm and airing over the next 3 Thursdays, useful if you missed it earlier this year

Duncan was still live in Dewsbury on Thursday night presenting the late bulletin at 10.30

Has everyone noticed that the legendary Mike's Carpets have started advertising on YTV again, just like the 80s/90s except Mike is a bit older thesedays

I was up in Leeds this weekend and noticed it - I was amazed. He still has that awful mullet though. Laughing

Hmm has the digital opting circuitry in Leeds gone a bit pear shaped? The picture went 14:9 during the Weakest Link credits but then switched back to widescreen during the Spooks trail. The symbol into the six was network's ("with Georgh Allagiah and Riz Latif") but Jenny Hill popped up with the headlines as planned.

EDIT: Looks like Mr Cockup has been in attandance, a power cut meant that Paul's weather graphics weren't available.

Sports Awards in Yorkshire... Dickie Bird making an appearance as might have been expected. As has Look North's Christmas tree.

Oh joy - yet another plug for Levy's show on the LNH lunchtime bulletin - his special guest today Peter Purves Confused

And the tenuous stories continue on LNH yesterday with a minor football team in Germany who have managed to get into the German premiership. Obviously, this is totally relevant in light of Hull's getting into the English premiership, and merited sending a reporter and film crew out to Germany Shocked

what is happening with the scrooges at BBC Look Hull ? no christmas tree in sight yet haven't Leeds had theirs up since the start of the week ?

bah humbug

when will we ever also get a totally new & long overdue studio set in Hull instead of keep showing that dreadful generic backdrop of the BBC Newsroom in London ?

also why did they stop talking to Paul the weatherman on the large studio screen ?

they certainly don'y make full use of the studio set in BBC Look Hull do they ?

It means repositioning cameras with sufficient operators which you no longer have due to cuts. The set in Hull is extremely tatty and falling apart (a bit like the programme) up until now there is just no interest, will or money to do it. As has been said before all the money was spent on a silly building with equipment for a now non existant service (KIT). At some penny pinching point, BBC management will realise its a complete waste of money and a far better service could be offered by merging the region and putting a proper newsroom in Lincoln. YTV operate a better news service with smoke and mirrors so why can't the BBC do the same?

It was 'ladies night' on Calendar tonight with Christine and Tina Gelder hosting

Last Orders is getting an unusually peak slot for it's last episode tonight, airing at 10.40 instead of the usual 11.40 slot
