Did anyone see the end of late Look North the other night

Instead of cutting to the wide shot and then cutting to the closing titles, we were left with an close up of Ian White while the closing music played up to the end of the bulletin

I did...Ian pulling funny faces!

When they tried to mix to the end titles it brought up a flash of the last video clip - looked like they didn't have a camera set up for a wideshot to cut to and they couldn't get to the end titles so had no option.

It's all because of the unique way the BBC is funded. What a joke.

As the Shannon trial's coming to an end, expect a lot of coverage from Look North.

I hear that if you love the One Show on the night the trial concludes (tomorrow or Thursday, probably) you might be disapppointed.

Might be worth it to see if Mrs Loompa's mascara or fake tan will run in the rain/snow/sleet if she's sent out to look down on the women of Dewsbury.

To be fair you could send Timmy Mallett out to look down on the women of Dewsbury. Laughing

Good to know that BBC Leeds are planning something a little extra though - it's a big story just for the sheer bizarre nature of it all.

I heard it was Cuprinol she uses, which doesn't run in the rain.

Special Shannon Matthews opening titles on tonight's Calendar

Duncan Wood was live in Dewsbury Moor with Christine Talbot live in Batley Carr. The entire programme focussed on the story

Is this going to happen? There's a Panorama special at 8 so I guess it might be a bit over the top. Plus there's a Party Political Broadcast just before 7, so I guess that might cause problems.

Ah, it is. Wonder what they'll do about the PPB?

Edit: Time shifted it to 7.25, with a local anno.
