Calendar said goodbye to a cameraman tonight. I imagine the first of many
I do wonder how much on screen talent will be effected, with only one split bulletin currently and many shared stories I doubt it will be that many. I would be shocked if Christine and Duncan didn't become the main presenters of the new programme

Of course the problem with voluntary redundancy, although it's fairer on the staff, is that you generally tend to lose the best people, as they're the ones most confident of getting work elsewhere and are more willing to take up the offer.
Hence during the last round of redundancies the likes of Faye Barker and Frazer Maude went off to bigger and better things, and certain other poorer broadcasters remained.
Expect Calendar's talent base to be further diminished.
I can think of at least one presenter that shouldn't feature in the new team. I'm thinking all the presenters they keep should be capable of hosting the main programme

I much prefer Gaynor and John!
When the two programmes are 're-united', perhaps they may shuffle those four, as a comprise?

Given that it's a cost cutting exercise I wouldn't be surprised if the shuffling was in the direction of the job centre.
Indeed, point taken-- especially given the job cuts at announced at ITV Central today. If (or rather when) the same happens at YTV no doubt BBC Yorkshire & Lincs may see a few new, but familar, faces arriving.

Although given the squeeze the BBC in the regions is going through, especially now BBC Local has been turned down, there aren't going to be many opportunities surely.
Did anyone see the end of late Look North the other night
Instead of cutting to the wide shot and then cutting to the closing titles, we were left with an close up of Ian White while the closing music played up to the end of the bulletin
