Used to live near Mansfield, and I'm pretty sure it was the Belmont transmitter that we received - it's certainly a flatter line of sight than Emley Moor.

Ah right, fair enough. In fact on a decent day, I can get a decent signal from Belmont too in my part of Notts-- some 50 miles from Belmont. So I can appreciate Mansfield receiving the Belmont-- as you say, between the Lincolnshire Wolds and Mansfield, no hills to block the signal really! Seems both YTV mast can be received in Mansfield:

Emley Moor
Belmont

And if you want to be really crazy, if you go up to nearby Alport Height on clear night, one can see both main YTV masts and both Central masts lit up Wink

Interesting to see Radio 1 Newsbeat's health correspondent Tulip Mazumdar filing a piece from the LGI for Look North about binge drinking. WIth her name mis-spelt on the aston.

She had been reporting live for Breakfast from there yesterday as well.

They have got the 'A' team journo's at Look Levy tonight. Cringeworthy reporting from a caravan show with the line...

Two upwards pointing female human mammary glands of recent days - the headline opt for Leeds both times - one was for the Ten (I think) and the other for the One. FIrst time all we saw was the NC Sport with Christa Ackroyd at the bottom with her speaking over. The second time the pre-recorded announcement was played instead of the headline sound.

Both times however, neither presenters noticed.

Cock up at the end of late Look North there meaning Ian had to fill for a bit

Instead of cutting to Lisa with the weather, they cut up a slide for the audience council which seemingly meant that we lost Lisa all together and the system can't cope with going back in the running order

He'll regret saying smuggly 'nothing to do with us' on the night of the network BBC Ten O'Clock News cockup last week Laughing

Also the titles failed to run the other night when Phil Bodmer was hosting, instead we got 5 secs of a white screen

And last night on Look North Sunday, I think Harry Gration had been in the pub, either that or his autocue was going too fast. He didn't seem as polished as usual

Which was followed by a bit of vision mixer finger trouble IIRC

Hmm Leeds and Hull have just soft-opted on BBC1 for an Inside Out trail way too early, so the One Show has gone soft and pillarboxed.

Indeed it did - which very much amused me.

Ironic as well what they filled with last night was about how to join the Audience Council to tell them what they thought of the quality of programming. Oh the irony!

I thought they did that all the time?

Not lived in the area since May so maybe they'd got better at it recently.

Not often for minutes, usually just a few seconds.
