So tonight's leading story on Look Norf Hull is all about a someone dropping sausage roll Rolling Eyes Surprised Levy's not got someone in the studio from Hull City Council and the National Sausage Roll Association to comment Laughing

Its another story nicked from their arch enemies at the Hull Daily Mail. Some chav dropped a sausage roll and refused to pick it up when asked to so it went to court - The Magistrate dropped the case before it got near the court.

The second story pinched from HDM was the one about the Beverley Minsters bells. This had been done to death in the paper last week and was a thin story even then. The BBC in ULL like prove to the big boss in Birmingham that they have a finger on the pulse of the good folk of the so called region Confused Result - They choose these stupid, parochial non stories to stir things up for their phone and texting lines & enable Levy to say . "We had a lot of feedback on this one"

Its not journalism, its not news, its cheap gossip, Its BBC ULL.

I think that pretty much everywhere in the country (including Hull) has more important stories than that.

Like every other story on the front page of here

There was a suggestion (albeit on Digital Spy Forums, and not very credible) that Peter might be making a radio comeback on Radio Humberside - Blair Jacobs is apparerently not having his contract renewed which leaves an opening for the Soapbox lunchtime phone in. Obviously that would mean he was unable to present the lunchtime Look North.

No word on whether the new-look Soapbox would include three rounds of pontoon.. suspect that format would fall foul of the rules on not fixing quizzes these days, it was eminently fixable (although I'm not suggesting that it ever was fixed, just that it could have been)

I wouldn't be so sure. Look North NE&C were leading on a story about an injured cat in Carlisle this morning.

Seriously.

Errr, he's on today's lunchtime bulletin. Unfortunately the Mayor of Wetwang appears to have returned to the lunchtime spot too - shame as Sarah Cruddas was much easier on the eye, but she's relegated to just the early morning bulletins now Crying or Very sad

LMAO - just hope they can't find some tenuous connection between the cat in Carlisle and Hull, otherwise it will be on LNH tonight Laughing

Probably a live, down-the-line, interview with the cat as it recuperates at the vet's...

Or maybe a live link to Freddie Starr, who knows all about animals, what with him having once been reported to have eaten a hamster.

I always assumed it was fixed every time based on whether the caller was good radio or not!
