I'd have thought the thread would have been busy discussing the demise of the Tinsley Towers.

AIUI, Calendar was meant to be streaming online but that failed to work at the required time. Also the two video clips of the demolition were the 'most watched videos' on the BBC website on Sunday morning.

I don't know what else was done as I was at Meadowhall watching it myself.

How was the view from there? I was up on the hill on the opposite side of the viaduct, and had a great view (not far from the shot which BBC have been leading their reports from).

It was the most watched video until 7pm according to the feature on the BBC News website

BBC Radio Sheffield apparantly broadcast live. I'm not sure how entertaining listening to the explosion on the radio would be!

Well that's what I did - it was the only way thanks to ITV Local. There were a lot of people fuming at ITV's failure to stream it live on the webcam.

Apparently there was footage of the towers demise on youtube, hours before it appeared on the BBC website or elsewhere. Citizen Journalism at its best I guess.

So Calendar and Central News were both claiming Mansfield tonight regarding Rebecca Adlington, but who officially serves Mansfield?

So Look North Leeds is covering it as well, so is East Midlands Today?

I would say the former. It's in the North Midlands area, only down the road from Lincoln really.

Then again, one could argue why Look North Leeds and Calendar North was covering it because I would have thought that area would be on Belmont.

Look North Leeds broadcast most of the programme live from Mansfield with Christa. Did Look North Hull cover it as well. Was Peter Levy live from Mansfield?

East Midlands Today over-ran with their Mansfield coverage, crashing into The One Show at 7.05pm.

Not quite a crash - they joined after the first film.
