Wonder how long it takes to take those vinyls down and put them back up for when the studio is used for Politics and Superleague?
ST
Must be a nightmare getting them in the right order.
And how long will it be before they become worn & tatty?
I must admit, however, that the overall effect isn't bad considering, as Paul mentioned last night, it was "on the cheap"! I still don't like the seat/sofa configuration, whatever colour they're covered in.
Can anyone tell me if the space dedicated to the current set is the same as when LN moved into the new studio building?
As they insist on showing pictures of the original set on their website (despite several changes since) it looks as though the area was larger than present, or is it because the chairs are more spread out and only one large screen?

An amazing amount of non effort was made in ULL and in conjunction with much of the News 24 output it is a step backwards.
Adding the old telly from when it first started makes the whole thing look very cheap and tired - which is what it is, so at least they have come clean at last
Also that icon of the hated region, the bridge, has re-emerged in the titles - so much for listening to the public.
Sadly the public no longer has a say as all the meet the people audience council meetings have been scrapped due to cost cutting.
Talking of trouble at (Queenies) Court, Radio Yellabelly has a new managing editor and the station has been axeing some of its audiences favourite presenters some of which are not exactly happy about the way it has been portrayed and have their own websites explaining really what happened. Bit of a night of the long knives by the look of it. To make matters worse Management have done something they swore never to do, share programmes with Radio Bumbleside, what'll that do to the RAJARs?

No it's the same area... the studio really isn't that big at all - the contrast between the studio at Woodhouse Lane and the new one (on the second floor in the middle of the new building) was pretty dramatic.

So how big was woodhouse Lane compared to the new studio?

Big!
Am afraid I don't know the exact sizes... but for some time the Woodhouse Lane studio had the old Look North set (three big round circles joined together) and the new (the first Lambie-Nairn generic one) in together.
And then of course there was smaller 'Peter Levy' studio just off the main one.
So really, the new one is tiny in comparison.

Wasn't the old set still used for either North of Westminster or Superleague for some time after the Lambie Nairn one was introduced for Look North

Was watching a bit of Look North on Sky tonight. Small technical hitch twice, the second time I saw a second of someone with the caption top right saying "Mayfair".
