I wonder if PETER will get a new look Studio set in HULL on Monday.

It's in desperate need of it ! When was the last time that BBC Look North HULL got a new or revamped set ?

Nothing might change though I suppose, in case it upsets PETER or his loyal purple rinse viewers

Well I think BBC Look North Leeds needs a new studio set as too they have had it for ages.

Look ULL has had its original set since Queenies Gardens was built. They shifted things around a bit a few years ago but its all original flats and lightboxes. Its such a stupid shape for a studio, considering the place was supposed to be purpose built. Also they don't like change in ULL as they might have to learn some new camera angles or put a bit of creative effort in.Remember BBC ULL's motto "why put so much work in when we can get away with what we do now".

Maybe his Levinessess' friend Linda Barker could come in and do a makeover? Ironically Peetas original sofa and table seem to be coming back into fashion in the regions.

But BBC Look North LEEDS set is newer than in HULL ! The Set in HULL I think was designed when it was presented by two presenters ( PETER and HELEN ) , since then with just PETER on his own the studio looks stupid with the big sofa and the studio set needs adjusting to accommodate just one presenter rather than two needs reshuffelling or something

Remember the coloured panels on the walls that used to change colours ? What happened to those ?

They're still there (or at least last time I had the misfortune of watching), but aren't used as the main shot any more.

But the Leeds set is vastly more hideous. It just looks a complete, cluttered mess with the Wacky Warehouse sofa / chair things, cheap coffee table, Christa's clothes and wonky red panels. Vile, vile, vile.

Strangely though, it actually looks quite good when dressed and lit for the Politics Show.

Hehe, you make it sound like Christa's part of the furniture. I wonder if she'll get a revamp to go with this new look...

Dunno. The orange in the national titles matches the colour of her skin, so they might not bother.

Ahhh, so they're rebranding BBC News to fit in with Christa, all makes sense now.

Last I heard, one of those things will be gone on Monday... thankfully not Christa's clothes Smile

Don't forget that the Leeds set needs that extra degree of flexibility to be able to handle the Superleague Show in addition to Look North and the Politics Show.

Another day - and another failed OB, the link to John Cundy at Dewsbury failed first time around.

Christa introduced a report and conducted a studio interview on the plans to open a Hooters restaurant in Sheffield. Obviously as part of research into the story, she was dressed tonight in a prostitute-style costume; black jacket/short skirt with big black belt matched with red lippy, red nails and red cheeks to match
