The late show is now being simulcast on other BBC Yorkshire radio stations again after going their seperate ways a few years ago
It has for quite a few months broadcasting from 9pm on BBC Radios York, Leeds and Sheffield. For those that don't know, Russell Walker from Leeds presents the show Sunday to Friday with Phil Butler from Sheffield on Saturdays.
This except for last night where Matthew Henderson presented as cover, interestingly he's the person that does some of the local continuity announcements.
A similar thing will happen in the Midlands at the beginning of April, when the Wm/C&W show is axed, in favour of rejoining the regionwide show, albeit from Nottingham rather than Birmingham!
Hull & Lincoln are very unlikely to share a show. The biggest turn off for any Lincolnshire listeners would be listening to a show from ULL's Radio Chavside. The station managers know this to their cost. Anyway the relationship between the two parts of the non region are daggers at dawn.Lincolshire has never accepted being moved from the midlands region & many staff consider it to be treated as the poor relation.
