The late show is now being simulcast on other BBC Yorkshire radio stations again after going their seperate ways a few years ago

It has for quite a few months broadcasting from 9pm on BBC Radios York, Leeds and Sheffield. For those that don't know, Russell Walker from Leeds presents the show Sunday to Friday with Phil Butler from Sheffield on Saturdays.

This except for last night where Matthew Henderson presented as cover, interestingly he's the person that does some of the local continuity announcements.

A similar thing will happen in the Midlands at the beginning of April, when the Wm/C&W show is axed, in favour of rejoining the regionwide show, albeit from Nottingham rather than Birmingham!

Hull & Lincoln are very unlikely to share a show. The biggest turn off for any Lincolnshire listeners would be listening to a show from ULL's Radio Chavside. The station managers know this to their cost. Anyway the relationship between the two parts of the non region are daggers at dawn.Lincolshire has never accepted being moved from the midlands region & many staff consider it to be treated as the poor relation.

I think the current network programmes from Nottingham serve Lincolnshire much better than any from Hull ever could.

How did Alan Whitehouse's comment that he'd like a lifesize inflatable Christa doll go without any comment on the programme?

You can always tell a bank holiday in ULL. The Chavs don't bother getting out of bed and LUK ULL pre record any old cr@py non story outside of the fair city and fill the rest with ULLstories pinched from Radio Bumblsides newsroom. If in doubt run a story from the Deep - ULLs oversized & gloryfied fishtank & only round the corner from Queenies Court so they can nip back to the dayglow office for a soggy sausage roll.

It's the 40th birthday edition of Look North tommorow so be sure to tune in.

Ian has apparantly been on Look North 10 years, Christa says she's been on 9 years, although she didn't join until 2001 which is 7 years!

Expect the usual old clips and old faces to pop up just like the last show they did from Woodhouse Lane

I hadn't realised that Look North Leeds actually started a few months before Calendar

I will be recording this special and putting some of the clips from the show on my youtube.

Yes, the BBC were scared of big shiny YTV, so started a opt out just prior to Calendar. As it was, Calendar was referred to as 'Collinder' the programmes with the holes, until Richard and Austin made the show their own.

If you can, try watching the 20th anniversary show from 1988, the entire story is on that.

I guess Calendar will be producing a special in July.

I know an ex GMG north CA who once announced it as that by accident.

Good LN Leeds programme tonight for the anniversary I thought, surprised Judith Stamper wasn't there though, and perhaps some input from Peter Levy.

Some very good footage on those clips.

For some reason it has never been mentioned in Yorks & Lincs. Even though everyone recieved the programme, once they started churning out the piddly poor excuse for a programme from ULL people in East Yorkshire are not allowed by the BBC to be part of Yorkshire. They are not allowed news reports from York or Scarborough - even though they are nearer than Hell Hole Hull.
