And the lead story tonight, intro'd and outro'd by the venerable Mrs A, was about the sale of skin whitening products to ethnic minorities in Leeds. And it seems to be part of a series called "Skin Deep".
Great to see they understand irony at St Peter's Square.
In the last few weeks they have stopped broadcasting 24 hours and are now joining Five Live overnight again

Radio Leeds have lost the rights to broadcast Leeds United football commentaries. The coverage will now be exclusive to DAB only station Yorkshire Radio
Duncan was live in Dewsbury for Calendar and presented the whole programme from there. There were even special opening titles, there was only 2 stories tonight, all the other items that had been trailed were dropped

Tonight's late Look North had Christa reporting live from Batley. The end of the programme was a bit of a mess, Ian introduced Lisa for the weather, it cut to Lisa frozen. Ian said we couldn't join Lisa and then ended the programme opting back in to network a bit late.
If the weather had have run properly they wouldn't have had time to show it anyway

It has for quite a few months broadcasting from 9pm on BBC Radios York, Leeds and Sheffield. For those that don't know, Russell Walker from Leeds presents the show Sunday to Friday with Phil Butler from Sheffield on Saturdays.
This except for last night where Matthew Henderson presented as cover, interestingly he's the person that does some of the local continuity announcements.

A similar thing will happen in the Midlands at the beginning of April, when the Wm/C&W show is axed, in favour of rejoining the regionwide show, albeit from Nottingham rather than Birmingham!
