Had the epicentre of the earthquake been nearer to ULL, I'm sure the entire lunchtime bulletin would have been devoted to it.. Nice to see they managed to tie it in with the ULL floods - interviewing some of the former flood victims who got woke up by the earthquake Laughing

Tonight on LUK ERE ULL we report on the devastating Earthquake whichh was centred on our region. The epicentre was at Market rasen near to ULL so tonight we have reporters live on the scene in ULL where someone fell out of bed, we have reports from ULL where worried chavs thought the noise was the fuzz on a dawn raid & we are live outside our front door where our reporter shows us the damage to the pavement where he usually stands. Plus we will have our resident Geologist with the weather & a full explanation about earthquakes - Geology Meteorolgy we'll getaway with it, the viewers are too stupid to tell the difference.

Remember 'we were with you throughout the earthquake and were are with you now'

I've just remembered why I don't watch Calendar!

I'm only watching because I might see myself on it...

lol Laughing

How surprising that they got the opinions on the flood victims in ULL before going to where the real damage occurred at Gainsborough. I'm surprised they sent a reporter to a field near the epicentre rather than having him stood outside the door of Queenies Court Laughing

A whole 8 minutes on the earthquake - would have been 3 times as long if only the epicentre was nearer to ULL Very Happy

Look North Leeds are probably wishing they'd used their studio at the National Media Museum rather than an SNG truck with its dish being blown around by the wind for that interview with Michael Palin!

You have got to feel sorry for the poor old reporters in ULL.

After last weeks Chav-ving Razz outside their own front door BBC LUK ULL has resorted to a safer version of a 'Live' report from ULL. Gone is the familiar scene of the front door - Caroline Davis is live on the Roof ! Lets see how long it takes the Chavs to get em up there Wink

Tonights main story was that the Yorkshire & Lincolnshire region has 11 sites which are to be considered as Olympic team training facilities. Live now to our reporter Damien who is at one of those sites in er... ULL Sad

He was at Oakwell on his dad's shoulders in 1938, apparently.

Was it me or did carol mailias desk vanish from the screen tonight on look north east and cumbria? She stood up and seemed to perch on what looked like a stool then sat on the sofa is this a new more relaxed style for look north ?? she also smiled a lot!

Looks like the curse of the Leeds OB truck is striking again - don't know why it has such problems transmitting in high winds.
