I had the same wonderings when they were talking about omitting Stamford from the weather map tonight. Well in EMT or Look East (West) territory surely?


Well Stamford is just in Lincolnshire, so covered by LNH's remit ("E Yorks & Lincs").


It might be in the name, and yes, Stamford is just on the edge of Lincs but you'd be lucky to pick up Belmont: http://tx.mb21.co.uk/gallery/belmont/belmont-maps.php


Aaw right, thanks for that-- I hadn't realised. Then again Waltham is visible from Stamford, so everyone would use that signal I should think.

Another evening on Look North Leeds, and another dose of Dickie Bird ramblings at the Barnsley match at the weekend. The Chuckles now have some ground to catch up with as DB chalks up at least three, maybe more, guest appearances in 2008.

Harry was live at Oakwell tonight while Christa, in the classic white spots on brown jacket/top combo co-ordinated with bacteria-laden pattern skirt, was on her own in the studio. Paul was in a loud magenta shirt so I reckon it's a draw who wins the most tragic dress of the evening.

Are BBC Leeds short of reporters tonight? Transport Correspondent Alan Whitehouse was in the studio reporting on a WY Police initiative to track down some football hooligans, which seems a little off his usual patch

Justice was served up today on the lunchtime Look ULL.

'We go live to our reporter in ULL ' who was not at the coroners court as he should have been but obviously could not be bothered to go further than just outside the front door of Queenies Court. This time however he was hi-jacked by a bunch of chav lads who did not stay in the background making pratts of themselves but got up close and personal shouting and getting a bit too near to the camera Razz

Memo to all staff from HLRP... All live reports from Hull should now be done from INSIDE the front door Wink Wink Wink

Interesting line up on LN Leeds tonight , with no Christa. Harry was anchoring on location in Dewsbury and Ian White was in the studio. Would we have had an all-male presenting team on the sofa had the news in Dewsbury not been dominating the agenda?

It is crazy. Tonight Hanna Moffatt reported on another story in the dark from outside the front door. I cannot see the point in it at the best of times but with the local chavs about it is asking for trouble.

They built a soundproof secure studio for a reason, they should use it.

Jenny Hill was also out on an OB in Dewsbury, but I'm certain if it was Chris-ter's day off and the girl's disappearance story wasn't leading the local news agenda, she would have been in the studio with Harry or Ian.

Speaking of Mrs A, was it just me or did she look normal yesterday on the Dewsbury OBs? Her face looked a normal shade and you could have almost thought her rosy cheeks were from standing out in the cold. Perhaps she'll be back tomorrow with a topped-up tan... Smile
