Just saw myself in one of the Look North Hull 'Big Photo' adverts just before Eastenders!!!! The one where we're all waving!!

I am in 'Happy Bunny' mode now!

Oh, and I've e-mailed Helen herself asking if she actually is being headhunted by the Beeb but had no response yet......

If these are genuine rumours, I'm hoping Philpot gets the Top Job, but that won't stop me sending a humorous opportunistic semi-spoof CV to them!

EDIT - Paul did the weather from the HULL studio tonight, sitting with Helen and Peter! Lisa did the weather in Leeds! A rare occurence!

That's the picture they're 'auctioning' off on the show, only it's a colour one - the tie is red, I believe!

Talking of which, I recently won an Ebay auction for some mid-1980s Radio Aire presenter postcards, two of which are Christa Ackroyd and the chap in your photo!

Another odd combination on Belmont tonight - Peter Levy and Jenny Hill!! I think this might have been the first time that the combo has been used!

A modest and unassuming start from Jenny, developed nice jabs at Peter later on in the show (wig dye, letting him out on Halloween etc) - overall 8 out of 10!

Look North was Christa and Ian on Friday.

Paul Burland was doing Calendar News and Sport this weekend. It's also notable that Nicola Crompton now presents the political series Sunday Soapbox with Tim Iredale in London

Did anyone happen to see Look North at all this weekend and see who was presenting? presumably it was Ian White today at least.

Oh god, really? I really can't take her seriously as a newsreader, so on a political show, oh dear me...

I think it's because of her past as a topless model or whatever she did...

With all this recent closing of regional newsrooms, it would appear that it is ITV, not the BBC that are seemingly hell-bent on on turning their regional shows into two-bob operations....
