I know there's been a murder in Hull, but no mention of the two biggest stories in Lincs on Look North tonight: no mention of the Echo's cover story about the man who has been banned from entering a village or contacting 17 individuals, or local media after a long harrassment campaign including accusing a police officer of being a paedophile. No mention of the security alert at the YMCA which has closed at least 3 roads and been the healdine on BBC Radio Lincs and Lincs FM this evening. Rolling Eyes

Maybe for the best. Peter Levy would have probably ended up doing the YMCA dance.

More bad habits are starting to sneak back in on Look Ere Arm Frov ULL ;that of going live to our reporter... who is only stood outside the front door of Queenie Gardens. They were warned off this practice by senior BBC management only last year.

And now, a surprising quote from the BBC South Yorkshire website, which I don't think anybody here would ever have expected...

Quote:
Dickie Bird was unavailable for comment.

Did he make an appearance on LN or Calendar?

Since when was Rutland part of LNH's patch? Confer plane-crash story at Empingham last night-- a day after it happened!!

Dickie Bird was on Look North last night, but only on a Tom Ingall report.

The white boxes turned red towards the end for the token Valentine's Day bit of the programme - Ian reported on a £5,000 cocktail with a one carat diamond at the bottom for a "classy lady" (and made a funny reply after Chris-ter asked him if he'd swallowed the diamond after drinking it); Paul, in red shirt and candy-stripe red and white tie, produced a plastic rose from down his trousers for Mrs A; and Ian gave a horrified Mrs A a kiss at the end of the programme.

Will there be a mouth-shaped white patch on Christa's face tonight? Did Ian manage to wash the tan and make-up off in time? Find out tonight on Look North, at 6.30, on the BBC in Yorkshire (and bits of the North Midlands, but you'd be lucky if you get a mention).

I had the same wonderings when they were talking about omitting Stamford from the weather map tonight. Well in EMT or Look East (West) territory surely?

Well Stamford is just in Lincolnshire, so covered by LNH's remit ("E Yorks & Lincs").

However the plane actually crashed west of Empingham. Although Empingham is not far from Stamford, Empingham is actually well into Rutland-- in fact the wreckage ended up by Rutland Water itself.

Rutland is definitely BBC EMT territory-- the Waltham Mast is only a few miles north west of Empingham!

It might be in the name, and yes, Stamford is just on the edge of Lincs but you'd be lucky to pick up Belmont: http://tx.mb21.co.uk/gallery/belmont/belmont-maps.php

how long have bbc two england been repeating the super league show late on a sunday night?

interesting to note, as someone who's never seen it before, that they use animating bbc sport graphics.
