OK, hands up. Who stole all the real news in Yorkshire?

Another live OB for Look North Leeds - and a rare day out from the studio for Paul Hudson reporting on climate change in Garforth - and it crashes mid-way through.

And dare I say it, Paul is a decent reporter, does anyone know if he's a trained journalist?

Then onto a lady with lots of cleavage - Dolly Parton (re: the chav woman in Leeds getting evicted from her house for playing her records too loudly), not Mrs A, she must be off out getting a tan top-up...

Paul's a proper bone fide Met Office trained forecaster (as opposed to Met Office trained presenter). I'd expect that half the battle as a journalist is finding out the subject you're reporting on, and seeking out the counter opinion. If you are already an expert on the subject, then I guess it's a lot easier to compile a report.

Guess who Look North (Leeds) have got on as a guest this evening.

He was promoted on this morning's bulletin where we were told to tune in tonight where Dickie Bird will be talking about his memories of something.

That's really made me laugh.

I think next time they promote him, they should use those exact words.

Dickie Bird was a veteran cricket umpire known for his quirky personality, he's originally from Baaaarnsleh.

Since his retirement a few years ago, he has made it his mission to appear Question of Sport, sundry chatshows and of course Calendar or Look North, for the most tenuous of reasons. Usually to plug his latest book on cricket.

I thought Calendar had fallen out with Dicky, replacing him with the Chuckle Brothers? Wink

Not this time. He was sharing his memories of the 50th Anniversary of the Munich air disaster in which members of the then Manchester United team died. What with it being a big Yorkshire story and all.
