Primetime
Tyne Tees do this - it's no big deal about the split editions sometimes joining together. However its normaly when it's a big news story. E.g. when Tony Blair stepped down as PM.

(Don't know about Calendar..)

I see Look North (Leeds) has made a slight modification to the set to accommodate the Christmas Tree.

The awful wonky red vertical panel behind the presenters has been removed with the tree in its place. Behind it, the light box things have been re-coloured red. It actually looks a bit better.

Nobody mentioned Friday's Calendar where the two part regions partially came together for half the programme

Duncan and Gaynor were live at Toll Bar, with Kate Webster in the studio in the north and John Shires in the studio in the south

Did it for Lincoln Christmas Market earlier that week too-- perhaps it's on omen of things to come Wink

Now, now Chista, no need to get bitchy about your former employer, better go rub some ointment into you boobs. I'm sure people would rather watch Calendar and look at the aesthetically pleasing Christine Talbot, than the surgically enhanced perma tanned one.

Christa is really working the Cruella de Vil look tonight. How many animals died to make her coat (and tested for all her make-up)?

Nice to see the whole of the YTV News team again...anyone else spot some old familar faces? I can spot Karen Petch, shame she doesnt get any bulletins these days.

Over on Look North Hull just so laughable - Tim Iredale on a OB in a Caravan instead of returning to the studio for the rest of the days news, like the would on any other regional news programme, Tim reads it out with a barking dog in the background! crackers!

It really was unbelievably bad, presenting from a caravan just like something from Alan Partridge.

They only cover two stories on Look North, it's either post office closures or floods.

Put us out of our misery in 2008, and merge the programme back with Leeds.

Calendar was upbeat and fun and got the mood right, Look North dreary and depressing.

Thanks for the captures, loved Jon's makeshift pointer-- almost as good as the light sabre he used a few weeks ago!

Nice to see all the Calendar team as you say. The caravan OB is beyond comment though... Laughing
