Technical problems on Look North Leeds this morning with viewers being treated to Simon Spark from Hull. He welcomed viewers in the Emley area and said that they will try and get back as soon as they can.
Also no weather forecast at 0655, just a weather summary graphic with Simon reading out the information

There was an apology on LN (Leeds) Breakfast this morning about the Yorkshire Sports Personality Of The Year voting. Apparently due to a technical problem, votes cast since last night have not been counted. They've details as to how to claim your 15p refund on tonight's programme!

sounds like they've admitted to the cock up straight away and taken steps to sort it out... not sure what else they could have been expected to do.

Hull rarely gets any presented weather until around 8.00am, the weather graphic is usually used as is the travel graphic which is entirely ULL orientated with Hull Trains, Hull Ferries and the A63. But nobody really bothers coz its only made for people from ULL half of which have a job stringing a sentance together & the other half are lazy chavs who don't get up before 11 and then its down the DSS.
Anyone else from this so called region can go and jump as far as the management are concerned. A recently re-introduced ethos has emerged (since scandal of staffers posing as public was outed).
'So long as there are equal number of complaints from both sides of the river' the management are happy that they are serving the whole community'.

Nice to see Look North's aston op is on the ball, labelling a guy from Harrogate Railway FC as from Halifax Railway

Surprised that nobody has mentioned the new titles, stings and graphics on tonight's (Monday) Calendar. They are a bit more showy than before, and the sting before the programme starts now has the ITV1 logo on it. Don't know if this is for all regions or just a tester.

It's a revamp for all of ITV News output.
National and Regional News has gone 16:9 - the last of the ITV "family".

They aren't in widescreen which kind of spoils it, but I don't have a digital source going into my TV card so these are from good old analogue

Does the South programme have a shot of the Belmont mast where this version has Emley Moor? I was just pondering whether there would have been such a shot in there had Emley not collapsed and still looked almost identical to Belmont.

Glad they went to the effort of getting some new pictures of the trams in Sheffield... Must be at least 8 years old.

I think it is because Emley Moor Tower is an "iconic" structure and landmark (more conspicuous than a metal pole perhaps!), hence it's inclusion in the titles. Such is its prestige, it's now a Grade II listed structure now, believe it or not
