Harry is turning on the Huddersfield lights on Thursday this week, IIRC

So with Paul away until 2008 have we got one of the supply forecasters seconded to Leeds for Breakfast bulletins?

Harry clarified last night that Paul was only off for a couple of weeks.

According the an email update from Meadowhall itself the lights switching on is being covered by Look North and will be the regions live link on Children In Need.

The lights arent being switch on by anyone from the Loook North team but by Marlon from Emmerdale and Dot from Eastenders

Just been mentioned that Paul and Nicola Hudson have had another baby and that Mr H is now on paternity leave, and, according to Harry on LNL, he will be back sometime in 2008.

How will Levy cope?

In other LNL news, the gang will be at the formerly flooded Murderhall in Sheffield, turning on the Christmas lights live on the programme.

My misunderstanding - I got the impression that the Look North team were switching on the lights, rather than just covering the event.

I doubt Calendar will send someone there, then...

Away from the Xmas Lights for a bit - I see Soccernight is back on YTV sorry ITV Yorkshire - How do you think the "Feature" type progs compare with one another? I see there was a "Floods" one on YTV last night and sport on both LN and Cal's output.
I personally don't like LN's rugby set but like YTV's Soccernight set and show.

I've only seen what the YTV Soccer Night set looks like from the trails - where are they filming this now? IIRC Soccer Night's set was in another part of the Calendar studio, but if this is now home to the two Calendar sets for North and South, is Soccer Night still coming from that studio, or has the show moved over the road to the proper YTV studios? (The Leeds Studios my arse!)

On another note, has anyone noticed that Christa (who is back on Look North Leeds after a few days not presenting) appears to have a different skin colour on each camera angle? There were times when she appeared less brown/orange/tanned than usual, especially during the pre-recorded interview on Thursday night's 1830 edition. I'm also certain Mrs A is different shades of tan every night... it plays havoc with the colour settings on my telly, I can tell you.

They redress one of the Calendar sets and use that. They go to more effort than The Super League Show and you can hardly tell that it is actually the same set

Tonight's Look North is a bit of a car crash. So many mixed messages. They are live at Meadowhall, looking back at the Summer floods and how they have recovered, celebrating Children in Need and switching the Christmas lights on, with that famous Christmas icon Pudsey Bear!.
They are presenting live to the viewers at home, and trying to do a show to the people at Meadowhall!

Combine that with 'Dot Cotton' who I think had had a few, almost lighting a fag and Christa strictly telling her off that it would be illegal and it made for car crash viewing

Hull wasn't much better, but at least they went to Lincoln and didn't just step outside the buidling.

Levy isn't appreciated in Lincoln (by either the staff or the public) so didn't go, or wasn't invited, or could not be bothered Razz
