Leeds had a puppet version of Chris-ter (with immaculate, accurately-shaded varnish) at the end of the programme following on with a studio interview with a puppeter.

Problems with Look North Leeds on cable this afternoon.

Just opted with pictures from BBC London and audio from BBC Yorkshire. It kept momentarily switching back to audio from BBC London but then back to Leeds.

Apology just been given by Amanda Harper to viewers on "digital" - seems they haven't been able to fully opt out as BBC London is stuck on 14:9. But somehow the audio has got through. Odd.

EDIT: After a few minutes it seems they've given up and are now just broadcasting BBC London sound and pictures.

Further to my running commentary - During the middle of Neighbours we opted out to a darkened Look North studio for about 2 seconds. Still stuck in 14:9 though.

Just noticed as Harry and Christa introduced the report on the Barnsley mother, that the words "Look North" have become burned on the studio plasma screen.

And what is Christa wearing on her top half tonight? Is it a poncho? Is it a cardigan? Is it a blanket?!?

Two "do you know"s from Christa already tonight - is this her "It's just not good enough, is it?"

Manya on the sofa doing the sport - and wearing a polka dot blouse, is there competition between the women at Look North to outdo each other with what they wear on screen?

EDIT: The OB to Bradford has very out-of-sync audio.

Looks like Clare Frisby has taken over on the Politics Show, judging by the trailer at the end of LN Leeds.

As long as she doesn't tell us about tailbacks on the M1 at the start of the opt-out, it sounds interesting.

She started doing it last week, although I didn't see the programme

I thought Tim Iredale was supposed to be the new presenter though?

Tim is the chief political editor/presenter/cameraman/teaboy/multiskilling person in ULL making sure there is a fair share of ULL content for ULL people. Can't do with that foreign muck outside the 'area' you know

Surprised nobody mentioned (the) Mickey Rooney on Calendar on Friday - certainly beats Dickie Turd!
