They failed to opt out at the start of Look North Saturday this week. Instead we got the full opening titles and start of BBC London News!

The opt fail was just on digital wasn't it? I flicked over and it was fine on analogue.

Though John Boyd looks even more out of place in the spaceship (russian built) set.

"Houston, we're having some problems here........."

I wonder if Ian White could hear the announcement over the top of him and see the lack of pictures. He read 'volence like *this*' with a tone of voice as if to say I know you can't see the pictures but I'm going to say it anyway!

I did the opposite so I'd say it happened on both. I had it on analogue noticed the failed opt, switched to Sky pressed 947 realised that's Nicola Hudson and the wrong number, pressed 101 and John Boyd was there, went back to analogue and he was there as well so I missed the actual point when he came back.

Anyway tommorow its The Politics Show, a show that is one long technical problem even back at Woodhouse Lane so anything can happen. I bet at the very least there will be problems with the OB like there is every other week.

Ah okay - we must have done the opposite thing at the same time and both missed the switch!

Yes, you do wonder with the Politics Show OB. Funny how Calendar can do a live OB every night with no major problems, whilst Look North who hardly ever do any that are actually live, and not as live, can't do one a week.

The bulletin can be seen on the BBC London web site tonight. I guess she will be treating BBC Hull as a stepping stone. Can't really blame her if that is the case!

Oh, here we ago again being mean to Kat. As all professional Yorkshire men who have made it 'big' he now lives near dear old London town, hardly representative of my City, let alone my County, living off the past 'comedy' of Python. You really need to get out more.

Well the Huddy's are moving to Scotland on Monday, but thanks to dear old Sky we'll still be able to watch Calendar. BT can't get us a phone line until November though - look forward to joining in then.

that could have been embarrassing if Hull/Leeds had failed to opt and she'd been seen up here!

I would hardly call having many successful travel series, best-selling tie-ins and films since Python living off Python's past comedy..... they're a clear sign that he's moved on and developed a new persona since then....

And please stop telling me to get out more and get a life, I get plenty of fresh air and exercise in the week thanks very much... probably more than many people....

There was a musical performance on tonight's Calendar. The set used look to be a bit of the set used for Soccer Night "Extra".

Was Helen back on Look North Hull tonight?

Seems odd going to London just for a 5 min bulletin, at least they got 3 hours work out of Christa Ackroyd when she went.

Hmm....... opportunity comes knocking?

Gets out pen, paper and forms rough draft of world-beating CV ready to hand in to Roger Farrant.... just on the off-chance....
