Look North were live at Leeds festival tonight. I didn't see the start, presumably Ian White did the news in the studio?

Ian White was in the studio on his tod this evening. Small Paul did the weather in front of a CSO screen, so perhaps the weather came from Queenyfit Gardens this evening (sorry, couldn't resist).

Great to see Harry getting into the whole festival spirit! There was also a report from Marco van Belle in jeans and a T-shirt at the start of the programme about the festival.

Plenty of YTV news staff end up doing cameo parts there.

Off the top of my head, Duncan Wood and Chris-ter have done cameos as TV reporters (as did Kathryn "Mags" Apanowicz, the partner of Twice Nightly); and the voices of announcers Dame Maggie Mash and Helen Aitken have also been heard as radio presenters.

Kathryn Apanowicz used to be a proper character, albeit only occasional. Then there was obviously also Alex Hall

They've always got either Calendar or YTV Weather on on the TVs in Emmerdale, they must get a special channel - Calendar News 24!

Sadly not... is it repeated on ITV2 this week? He was only on in the background, so you had to squint... definitely him though right at the beginning of the epi.

It would appear so.

IIRC he also appeared in a 70s sitcom, possibly Man About The House or Robin's Nest - although it's not listed there.
