Are there no major settlements within the "North sub-region", other than Leeds and York, considered worthy of inclusion? Confused

you are like a broken record

Eh? I've not mentioned this before! Confused

EDIT What a stragely unwelcoming place this forum seems to be, with people attacking what others say just as much as discussing TV presentation. I thought the latter was the actual purpose of this forum, maybe I was wrong... Rolling Eyes

ahmen to that... well put indeed. i think they're all bitchy coach potatoes.

I think, by the way, they would usually use Leeds backdrop is because they are based in leeds, and the general idea is that it's meant to be a window. Once called window to the world or something rubbish like that. Plus, leeds rocks. i should know, i live here.

you [including under your previous username] tend to go on and on about the minutiae of which town should be covered by which subregion, what images should be used in the windows and go on about how bad look hull is. it gets a bit boring.

Damian Johnson returns to Look North, but this time Hull not Leeds:

Look North Leeds introduced their football coverage (with Leeds Utd winning first, natch) with "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly".

I assume the Good is 'Arry, but which one is Chris-ter? And who does that leave as potential bad or ugly?

Nice to see a proper reporter on Look ULL for a change. Damien's style and professionalism is most welcome and shows Levy & Hudson for what they are.

Everything else was the same tacky content. They are still stuck in the groove with the flooding non-stories. Ethel is stuck in a first floor flat because the council have not taking some rubbish away! Some Hullites are living in a caravan - proberbly its in a better state than their house before the flooding Rolling Eyes Some ULL lout was imprisoned for vandalism in Greece and the picture - well the director liked that one.

However for the first time some ITV bashing, perhaps the strains are showing with the ratings at last taking a bit of dip Wink

Very positive move, not just because Damian Johnson knows his stuff but because it guarantees some coverage every week - something I've been complaining about the lack of for a while. I'd like to see match previews on a Friday as well though.

Difficult times in Queens Court for sports coverage recently as two of the main voices on Radio Humberside have departed for KCFM, the new Hull radio station. I'm guessing Simon Clark (who's also Look North's Sports Editor, which I didn't know) will take over the Hull City commentary from Alex Burgess as he's done some before, but I don't know about the rugby.

With regard to KCFM. Sport aside, having looked at their website http://www.kcfm.co.uk/ I don't think that Simon Patten will be quaking in his boots over the line up.

It seems to be made up of ex-ULL hospital radio, retired pensioned off 90's Viking FM staff, Tim Jibson and a lot of pre recorded guff. Some of the pictures on the website were definately taken in the 80's.

Laughing Shoestring FM comes to mind.

It's Community Radio, what do you expect?

Gillian Merron is good at avoiding answering questions, isn't she?

Are 'Arry, Chris-ter and Small moonlighting as EasyJet cabin crew? I've never so much synthetic orange in a local news studio - we even had a shot of the three hosts in their various shades of ochre.

Or are they competing for the Luk Naath Ee've bin Tango'd Maar Thun Thee annual award?
