Also getting bored of the Levyisms.
I only regularly watch LNH so please excuse another post on it. Tonight's programme was a special on the Olympics, which start five years tomorrow apparently. No different presentation apart from Levy standing up for the first headline and sitting down for the last, which looked a little odd. Think the screen was on CSO again - it looked pretty bad for the weather in the studio last night.
I assume tonight's special would have been on tomorrow, but that programme will be a special on location about the Clipper yacht race, which the Hull and Humber yacht won. Personally I'm hoping Levy will go on a boat and get sea sick and Hudson will present the weather from a giant floating map in Hull Marina, but as much as I think LNH would like to do that their budget probably won't stretch to it.

To be fair you were stating things as fact yesterday. Sorry you find the concept of fact vs opinion boring. I think I to need keep emphasising this basic difference, because some people don't seem to understand this basic concept.
In your original post regarding this matter yesterday, you were speaking from the third person. Opinions are personal held thoughts, therefore by the definition of opinion, they are expressed in the first person. If you are expressing things in the third person, you are stating things as fact. I only saying what any decent, counsellor, psychologist, diplomat, teacher or self-help book on assertiveness will tell you.
I think it's worth pointing I have never stated that you "claim to speak for the majority".
OK. Fair enough, I've got the idea that the Levyisms are not popular. If really gets you so worked up, I won't mention them again. Now can we please change the subject, I think everyone is getting bored of it now.

Roger Mellie, it is a matter of your "opinion" that I was stating my view as "fact".
I was doing no such thing. Whenever I speak on these boards, I speak from my own perspective, I do not claim to speak for the majority. If others agree with me, great. If they don't agree with me, equally, great. It doesn't mean I'm not going to say it.
I am saying that it is boring, I suggested perhaps a dedicated Levyism thread might be preferable. Ok, you don't accept that. Fine. However that the "Levyisms" have run their course appears to be an "opinion" that some others here appear to share. That is fact.

Thanks for being there.

Am I imagining it or has Look North from Leeds become Bradford-centric?
Never mind that the two main presenters come from the place, most of the main stories and the reports on the show over the past two night have been from Bradford or linked to the city; four this evening (the psychologist mentioned his practice in Bradford; a report on the city regeneration; a report on a play in a multi-storey car-park and a report on the Bulls).
Can I also say that it's also the second night in a row Jenny Hill has said "some strongs words there..." on the programme?

Hey leave off jenny shes well good.
I wasn't slagging her off - I'd rather see her on Look North than Chris-ter.
What was Jenny Hill doing on Leeds?

She's been presenting it quite a lot over the last 2 weeks. Christa has presumbly got lost in Birmingham

Jenny Hill has become the "B" female presenter on Look North Leeds, sitting in for Chris-ter and superceding poor Penny Bustin who is now demoted to reports only.
Jenny has also been reporting for the programme and has become crime correspondent - not sure what happened to the previous holder of the post, John Cundy.
