Pardon me for being a party pooper, but this bares no resemblance to what is going on in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

Do please keep to topic.

I apologise - I'm still on a massive high!

Michael Palin's from Sheffield though - so it bears a smidgen of relevance?

Another cockup at 10pm the latest in a very long line of technical errors since they moved to St Peter's Square. They must really be having trouble getting to grips with this new kit.

The Skateboarders ident appeared as usual, except that it was boxless, it then froze and started to rewind on air before going black. Then a few seconds later Ian White's headlines are silent and instead we get a booming 'This is BBC1 in Yorkshire and the North Midlands' announcement!

Almost every night Paul gets cut off before the end of his forecast with Ian saying 'that's it back to London' very rushed. Except one day this week when Ian ended the bulletin and then realised he had twenty seconds to go.

This morning at 7.26am Clare's breakfast system currently being looked after by Tom Ingall fell off the screen after half a second leaving Tom full screen.

And yesterday as if they didn't have enough problems they had Len Tingle as a guest on the main Look North. It's surprising they didn't fall off air!

Oh and finally I liked the way they turned the Look North studio walls green the other night, as part of a story related to pumpkins.

Come back and tell us when you've had tea with Dicky Turd, then, and ONLY then, will I be impressed.

I went for a pint with Trevor Appleton and Tom Schaffernacker. Does that count?

Well the bulletin was just as much a shambles as the headlines were. The sound was missing at the start of each item and the whole bulletin was very slow progress.
In the end they crashed straight from Paul's forecast to Fiona in London, they must have been running way over.

It is pretty awful isn't it - especially liked the headlines at 10 which included Ian White (when we finally heard him) saying something like "violence like this" - obviously the pictures showing the violence, the pictures we of course weren't seeing.

I understand that a lot of the technical people raised serious concerns about the set-up at the new Leeds centre - and they're being proved right.

Maybe they're just pressing the wrong buttons deliberately to prove their point. Wink

Seriously though, teething problems are inevitable surely?

which gallery handles the 10.25?

Incidentally I see that the weather screen has been restored to its original legible format rather than the washed out and crap version seen after the first few days

They failed to opt out at the start of Look North Saturday this week. Instead we got the full opening titles and start of BBC London News!

Smile Wouldn't be surprised...

Indeed - am not suggesting otherwise, but we're almost a month in and there's been month after month of testing. Teething problems are inevitable, but the amount of problems and their frequency just make it all look shabby. Most viewers will think it's gone from a service that looked fine and worked to one which is more up-to-date but frequently fails.

The opt fail was just on digital wasn't it? I flicked over and it was fine on analogue.

Though John Boyd looks even more out of place in the spaceship (russian built) set.
