Interesting use of the Bradford studio on Look North, with Phil Bdodmer reporting/presenting from in front of a CSO of a view of Bradford. I thought it was a camera in one corner of the newsroom/office at the museum rather than a CSO position.

I seem to remember when I visited the museum seeing a green roller blind that could be pulled down in shot... possibly allowing for the camera shot

I thought he's moved to Real Radio ?

He has, did he jump or was he pushed ?

I miss Alex Hall since moving to BBC Radio Cleveland daytimes. However, it appears she has a new sideline now, http://www.speaktoalexhall.co.uk where she operates a counselling service, £30 for a half an hour.

Unusual Look North Leeds tonight with the entire B-team on duty: Ian, Jenny and Lisa. I don't think I've seen LNL without any of the A-team presenting.

Penny Bustin also did a lengthy OB piece from Scarborough, which made me wonder if she's been pushed aside as Chris-ter's "understudy" and why - she did a much better job every time I saw her co-present in the studio.

Well, she's got the boobs!

Mark Thompson said on Radio 5 today that a review of all local output had been conducted and was found to be of a high content. Obviously te DVD of Look North Hull got lost in the post.

Cathy Killick seemed to be Christa's understudy as well and she seems to have moved aside as well

Paul is hardly ever on Look North thesedays, he seems to do about 1 day a week

Now Mark Thompson has announced that lying to the viewers by passing off BBC staff as the general public is an absolute no no, will we get an apology from Look Levy about doing just this (then allegedly trying to justify it)? One other matter to be investigated - the TRUE result of the Look North name change fiasco. Heads should roll Shocked

Strong views there. It's just not good enough, is it?

Yes are we going to get an apology, it's not acceptable is it? What about people watching tonight-- what do you say to them? There's the camera-- talk to it!

No wonder Small is a "part-timer" for the Peter Principle these days. Ostensibly filming a documentary in the dreaming cesspits of Ull and conducting his mayoral duties in Wetwang; avoiding having banter with Peeta more like.

Even Dickie Turd, Linda Barking [sic] and Alan Johnson don't drop for tea and scones with Peeta these days, poor thing. Least there are no shortage of viewers to grass him up to Lisa; plus Katie's missives, Moyles's mentions on R1 and his four Facebook groups.

More worringly one of my former BGS colleagues was interviewed by him last night, fairly civil interview by Levy standards-- capped with the the tiresome "thank very much indeed" which every bloody regional newsreader has started saying now Mad

The coverage of the floods in Filey yesterday were markedly different on both versions of LN - considering that (AFAIK) Filey borders on both transmission areas.

Whilst LN Leeds had several reports, including live links, LN Ull managed about a single line by Levy!

Was it because Ull had already had a live link in Filey a couple of days before (about searching for a 200-year old wreck) and couldn't bring itself to mention the place again ?

Naaaw. Filey is North Yorkshire, too much of an effort for Levy's luvvies to do too many stories north of Bempton, out in the hinterland.

Besides he needs all the extra time to be rude to council officials to massage his ego Wink

Wouldn't Filey be an overlap for three BBC news regions?

(Leeds, 'Ull and Newcastle)

Another thought - Leeds have Scunny on their weather map and featured a weather picture from the town last night. However, there haven't been many, if any, reports on events from places like Selby, Goole, Howden and Brough which aren't as easterly as Scunny - when I lived in Howden, the clearest signal I got came from Emley Moor and I could barely pick up a signal from Belmont (I could get a better signal from Winter Hill than Belmont some days!).

From what I've read in this thread the Levy show doesn't seem to cater for this neck of the woods either. Therefore, if anything newsworthy happens in parts of North Lincolnshire or the East Riding, how will people find out about it if it's in a "grey area" where the assumed BBC region can't be picked up by viewers without a Sky dish?

(btw, which is the default region on Sky for BBC ONE in the Goole/Howden area? Given the postcode is in the Doncaster area, I'd assume it's Leeds.)
