Hull opted out at the end of Open All Hours to show a trailer for BBC Radio Humberside but opted out about a century too early and the end of Open All Hours was ruined because it was horribly cropped to 14:9.

Perhaps they are getting some practice in for having to opt out at 8pm for the Peeta Levy 60 second show or if we are really unlucky the 90 second show. His Ego-ness won't have given up the lunchtime slot without a good reason Wink

More info is expected later tonight on the Look North DVD of "The Great Flood".

Profits from the DVD will go to the Radio Sheffield Flood Appeal or something along those lines, so bad news for both St Tropez and the Dickie Bird Book Fund.

The question is, will it just be Leeds-sourced material or will any footage from "the forgotten city" be used (that is, if they remembered to give it any coverage?)

Depends if Peter mentions it on tonight's programme I guess.

Seems the "forgotten city" is now Lincoln. Oh come on we had practically no flooding in Lincoln bar the basement of a block of flats.

This week's Newswatch focused on BBC (national) news' woeful lack of mentioning ULL as soon as, and/or as much as, other flood-ridden places.

The Kingstonian viewer who presented the report said that local news had covered it well (I find that hard to believe) Shocked . No clips of material filmed by Queenyfit Court was included on Newswatch though, only 6/10/N24 material.

Fair point.

PS: I bet that "National BBC" chiefs would rather eat their own children than have anything produced by Queenyfit Court exposed to a national (e.g. N24) audience! Laughing

There is a new show on BBC Radio Leeds from today. Steve Bailey with "The Big Drive Home"

Julie Langford who has been covering the Drive show on her own since Martin Kelner was axed is now relegated to just reading the news

Interesting use of the Bradford studio on Look North, with Phil Bdodmer reporting/presenting from in front of a CSO of a view of Bradford. I thought it was a camera in one corner of the newsroom/office at the museum rather than a CSO position.
