And a fine job he's doing in carrying on the Levy traditions. He shouted all over the Floods Minister tonight and got a "strong response" later on.
On a presentation matter (for once), there was walking from sofa to screen today at lunchtime and 6.30. Didn't look bad, but for some reason they use CSO on the other screen rather than play the graphics through it. Is the projector a bit duff? I suppose the text is sharper this way, but it doesn't look as "real".
There was a bit of a problem with the CSO tonight with some fuzziness appearing on the floor. Not sure what caused it - lighting maybe?
They are definately taking the pi** tonight - instead of covering a serious story about flooding and the problems with farming we had depressed sheep and unhappy cows.
Make the most of Tim 'stunned rabbit' Iredale. His Leviness returns on Monday - now that is enough to make the depress the animals - especially those at the Queenies Court farmstead . I suppose next week will be full of the lame jokes about Peter tiling and decorating and missing the floods, its gut wrenching stuff - just have to hope that the One show will brighten our viewing.
Has Peter Levy done the compulsory OB in wellies stood in a foot of water or by the side of some water, like all the presenters on Look North Leeds and both Calendar's have done this past fortnight?
Not this week as he's on holiday. Although his replacement tonight has carried on the Levy tradition with an "Its not good enough"
Hud the Stud has been doing lots of OB in the rain, floodwater comes up to his neck in most cases
Although Tim Iredale did a "it's not good enough", he has weened himself off "thank you very much indeed". Instead he has passed it onto every presenter of
BBC EMT
and
Central News East

There is something seriously wrong with Christa's dress sense at the moment she looked as if she was in drag tonight.
This Katherine gets a lot of mentions on Look Hull recently, is she a made up correspondant, in joke or is there more to it?
Oh she is very real!
Katherine was once a member of TV Forum. She lives in Boston and as far as I can remember, watches Look North Hull, East Midlands Today and Midlands Today almost religiously, with a vast videotape collection. She attends almost all occasions when Peter and Paul are south of the Humber, and is a regular emailer though she is often called Kath or Katie for some variation.
She was a fan on Michael Schumacher and has been in the audience of Top Gear. She has Asperger's Syndrome. I think she continues to post at Digital Spy and is on my MSN contacts list though I've not spoken to her for a while.
Many thanks for the "big response" on Katherine, and the what she was all about
In way I'm looking foward to His Levyness's return, in the same way a turkey looks foward to Christmas

Sorry about that, I managed to miss your post regarding this Katherine person. "Its just got good enough", all the same "its good to have you there" ! I wondered if the Katherine persona was an invention, an addition to some of the made up letters & texts which runs alongside the staff impersonation of the public charade - but obviously not. I suppose she would be described as an anorak which, I seem to remember frequented the radio world, Some of them had a genuine interest however some were quite obsessed - these days called stalkers

This Katherine character is now probably on the Regional Advisory Board, or is especially employed to write emails into LNH!! Rather in the same way Mr Bean used to write Christmas cards to himself
<"don't leave me now teddy" emoticon>.
Maybe she dons blue wigs, thick-lensed glasses and a sensible cardie to immitate one of Peeta's old dears. Perhaps occasionally scraping her hair back, slapping on tons of make-up and jewellery and a Kappa tracksuit to play an upstanding citizen of Bransholme.
I wonder if His Levyness went anywhere in his caravan, to get a Tanfastic glow. The sort you would only get, by going to Scarborough of course
I understand the BBC has done away with the regional & local advisory councils. They have been replaced with the regional audience panels which rubber stamp the BBC trust decisions. The BBC can then claim to have consulted the public. What is interesting is the make up of the panels. They appear to mostly consist of middle class types, ie, forces personel, business people, civil servants, police officers etc. All nice and safe. Apparently the BBC
appointed
chairs of these BBC
appointed
councils are members of the BBC trust.
Yorkshire and Yorks & Lincs VERY SHORT summaries are here.
