I live in South Yorkshire, so which one will I get?

They will be about the same as the BBC Leeds and BBC Hull regions AFAIK, so which Calendar you get can be worked out by which BBC region you get.

i.e. Calendar (west) will be the North/West/South Yorkshire counties, N Derbys, N Notts. Calendar (east) will be Lincs, E Yorks and N Norfolk.

Or thereabouts.

Can anyone say how big the Emley/Belmont overlap zone is? Is there a lot of shared settlements?

I get the Look North with Harry and Christa, so I guess I'll get Duncan and Christine on Calendar?

So Belmont / Sheffield transmitter get Gaynor and John, the B team then.

They're having a backdrop then in the new studio which will change, presume Emley will get some images as well as they won't need to worry about upsetting Lincolnshire folk. Wonder how they'll share the weather presenter or if Belmont will get their own.

As it's the end of an era, some old clips of Calendar thrown in as well tonight, although they continue to manage to erase Christa Ackroyd from Calendar history.

Oh, right, so does that mean that the Calendars won't correspond to their BBC counterparts after all?

I assume that the "Sheffield transmitter" is the one that serves the now-defunct "Calendar South" area???? So, that's gonna be grouped with the "East" show, then, is it?

A funny way of dividing things up... Confused

I thought viewers in Sheffield / Doncaster received Peter Levy live.

I thought the Sheffield transmitter broadcast Look North, with Doncaster receiving Belmont TV and therefore Levy live. To be honest I'm not sure how far the Sheffield transmitter reaches, it covers Sheffield and Chesterfield mainly doesn't it?

Regarding the decision, it's been said on here quite a few times that the east region is a bit light for news at times, plus Sheffield folks are very vocal about Leeds bias, what with them being Yorkshire's 2nd city, so it makes sense I suppose

Here are John and Gaynor in the new studio with a Sheffield backdrop

Now I thought that post digital switch-over there wouldn't be transmitters that broadcast a different region for BBC and ITV services, yet here we have the Sheffield transmitter which will take BBC services from the equivalent of Emley and ITV from the equivalent of Belmont
