Do Hull show the Cathy Killick and Len Tingle version of The Politiics Show?
Well, the website arrangements certainly suggest that there's just one PS for the whole of Yorks & Lincs...
In that case would this suggest that Hull may be getting it's own version
I wouldn't have thought being political editor of Look North Hull would provide much work otherwise, making one report per week on Look North Hull if you are lucky?
Two so far this week I think, but you're right - unless the plan is only to ramp up the woeful lack of political coverage on Look North. Since until now it has mostly consisted of Peter Levy shouting at councillors it wouldn't be hard to improve it.
Wasn't there an attempt at doing a show from Hull some time ago? The present programme does seem very biased towards the west of the region.
Perhaps we'll see something if/when the suggested set alterations happen. Just so long as it's not Levy presenting. Caroline Davis would probably be good, actually.
Your listening to BBC Radio Lincolnshire. Next on BBC Radio LIncolnshire, we at BBC Radio LIncolnshire, are on BBC Radio Lincolnshire going to, on BBC Radio Lincolnshire, be sending our BBC Radio Lincolnshire reporter out into the broadcast car to report for BBC Radio Lincolnshire. - a typical drivetime show.
They have been after a political editor for a while now - and it was always understood that there would be a politics show from Hull (its the only region that doesn't have one) however as mentioned before it was down to money. Too much spent on the HQ in hull and not enough left over for staffing. Worryingly its only been up for a couple of years and is covered in scaffolding
There is plenty of political news in Hull, infact the alleged goings on at the council could fill an entire week of programmes. The issue is, would the BBC rather make the Peter Levy style of show or make a news programme? Unfortunately (for now) the decision was made to make the latter. It will be interesting to see if the new boss who starts in the new year will opt for the same or go for a risky news based programme and upset Peters Wrinkly brigade
If the politics show gets the go ahead it will take a lot of journalistic work & money. There is a shortage of money generally at the moment - If there is a decent licence fee settlement it will happen.
Don't know if other local BBC radios are having their carol concerts today, but Radio Sheffields is being recorded at St Margarets Swinton near Rotherham this afternoon for broadcast on Christmas Day

I didn't think Radio Sheffield touched Rotherham with a barge pole? Or have they rediscovered part of South Yorkshire they never knew existed all of a sudden.
