Its all supposed to start in January but it will be a lot of smoke and mirrors as its going to be more or less the same news reports in both East & West but presented in a different order. There is very relatively very little money being spent, no presence in East Yorkshire and using the Lincoln newsroom. Its only come about due to the research saying that Lincolnshire folk are sick of the Hull bias on the BBC.

I bet she'll be the new host of Calendar East whenever it starts
I'm not sure about bringing in presenters from outside when many of the current team could do the job, and various presenters seem to have left YTV in the last few weeks

I thought Anglia covered all of it, Belmont was only switched to Yorkshire in the mid 70's, IIRC.
(IIRC from what I've read, not having been born in the mid 70's, you understand)

It was Sir Jimmy Saville's 80th birthday today, so Christine interviewed him in the local park. I'm sure you can imagine what it was like. Jimmy being interviewed by a female
Thankfully he couldn't be in the studio, so they had to make do...

Christa also interviewed Carol Thatcher 'as live' earlier, but they had to admit it was earlier as Christa forgot to put her poppy on in the recording!

Anyone know when Calendar are going to move back into their old studio or any changes that are going to be noticable when they move back in?

Apparently when Peters Pumpkins started it was part of Springwatch and they invited viewers to write/fax/text/phone/email for seeds. It was amazingly popular and caused a temporary shortage of pumkin seeds - this is all true honestly. The BBC had as many Hull staff as possibly phoning all over this country (and parts of western europe) sourcing seeds.
If a member of the public has £10 to spare perhaps they could apply under the freedom of information act to see how much this cost the licence fee payer?

Look Hull just don't seem to do sport at all, unless it's Hull City or Hull KR.
What happened to Simon Clarke as the sports presenter ? Does he still do anything ? And why don't they show the weekend goals like Look North used to, just with a "Pictures from YTV" caption.
