The future direction of Look Hull should be decided when the new head of region is appointed shortly. There are a few rumours but nothing substantial. The latest editor of Look Hull is Ex Look East Norwich.
BBC Leeds are in for a treat when the new boss arrives. Hull have been through 3 editors in as many years.
One question. Is there a reason why Harry and Christa can't do the national and regional headlines themselves, rather than hand over to Ian in the control room. You can read what Ian's saying on the screen behind him. Let one do the national and the other the regional.
Agreed it would be far better. In NWT land, for the duration of the ONE show Gordon Burns read the national and regional headlines from the desk.
Now he hands over to the late presenter, at this oddish point in the programme before the weather and last story, sat on a desk in what looks like a portakabin newsroom. It looks terribly unprofessional and unnessecary.

Interesting reading this... on BBC
East Midlands Today
, they read the national headlines at the end of the programme, as if it were a normal news item within the programme. I wonder why they hand over to other presenters in ^ BBC regions for the national headlines?

I suppose it's to make it seem like a special feature. You could say the same about the news round-up on Calendar or indeed any extra sport or business presenters on 24 hour news channels
I presume that the gallery they hand over to Ian White at is in fact the one-person operated gallery used for short bulletins, and not the one that is actually driving the show?
They were making good use of the Calendar newsroom tonight. First Duncan was on the newsroom floor discussing why all the staff were wearing pink, then he popped into the adjacent weather office to do the bit with Jon and then told Gaynor to start the next link so he could get back across the newsroom and he rejoined Gaynor in the 'studio' 2 seconds later!
Border TV's Kate Webster said goodbye to Lookraound viewers last night after 5 years as anchor. She is joining Yorkshire and Calendar. Probably won't be long till she's back on the sofa anchoring Calendar.
