You're clearly confusing him with Steve Wright; he sounds nothing remotely like a cockney.

What's happening with the Calander studio? Is there going to be a new set, or is it just maintenance work? How long have they been in the newsroom now?

Well correct me if I'm wrong but AIUI they're doing a Central and splitting the studio in two, as from later this year there will be an East/West split for the main 6pm Calendar, which are being broadcast from Leeds, I think this is the same time that Meridian West and Central South will be merging to form Thames Valley.

I've noticed that Granada Weather (and I take it Yorkshire, Tyne Tees and Border) look like they've been broadcasting from a different studio since Calendar have defected to the Newsroom.

When is Calender going to split its 6pm news programme? Is it only that bulletin that will be sub regional with the other bulletins during the day and weekend being pan regional?

Only 6pm will be split.

Soccer Night is back on Thursday, so maybe they will be back in the studio next week, or will Soccer Night also broadcast from a temporary studio

Maybe either or both of them might sound "Londony" in some sense or other, but certainly not in the "cockney" sense.

Well Steve Shi, sorry Wright, comes from Greenwich originally-- lives in Henley-on-Thames now I believe. I always think he sounds like Roland Rat on helium!

Moyles comes from Rothwell W.Yorks I think. He still has a definitely W.Yorks twang (my father comes from up there so I recognise it); but Moyles doesn't sound like a male Liz Dawn admittedly!

On Calendar they are still in the newsroom for the 7th week

On Look North, firstly and strangely the weather forecast was from Darren Bett down the line from London, where were Paul or Lisa?

Then there was an extra section of the programme, Harry and Christa handed over to Ian White for a round up of the national and regional headlines
