Is there a special shop in Leeds where Christa buys her gear from?

The classic line fom Victoria Wood's dinnerladies comes to mind:

* Did you get that [was actually skirt but in this case; top] from a catalogue?
* No
* Pity, you could have sent it back!

It looks like the main Calendar studio is out of action this weekend

Every bulletin since last night's Calendar has come from a bulletin studio, usually only used for Calendar East and South

Here's last night's late bulletin

The Calendar East programme is due for launch in January. Could it be true that they are considering launching a competition to name the new programme Wink

I would think that it is pretty much a certainty that Gaynor Barnes will get the Calendar East gig

The male presenter role is up for grabs though, I can't see anyone within the current Calendar team who would do it full time

There's also a question of who would do the Lunchtime News, as with it being pan-regional, it can't really be as currently, if half the region arn't going to see them at 6pm.

Funny you should say that, I'm surprised that the bosses in Hull have left Levy on his own for so long. Clare would be better with him than where she currently is, although why should they give her the job now when she was overlooked for it in the first place in favour of Helen Morton (as she then was) despite the fact that she was then presenting the Hull sub opt service.

I assume that, like with the Central Newses and Meridian Newses, no compass directions will be used in any Calendar title, in favour of both sub-regions being just "Calendar"/"Calendar News"????

I also assume that the 6pm weekday show will be the only sub-regional show at all from now on, and that literally all other bulletins will be pan-regional??? (well, seeing as that's what Tyne Tees are doing...)

I don't watch Calendar that often, so forgive me if this a dumb question... Who's the bloke who sometimes stands in for Duncan Wood? He wears glasses and has completely grey hair? Maybe he could do Calendar East?

Thanks for that Cool The times I've watched Calendar, they have never announced the presenters names or used astons, as is done will Central Tonight/ News East. Are there any other regions that don't bother doing this?

Probably because 'The Calendar Family' of presenters have been around for many years most of them going back to the early 1990s!Hence no need for name tags. Most regions seem to have them though popping up on the astons at the start of the programme.
