Somebody should tell Calendar that North Yorkshire geographically includes Middlesborough and Redcar & Cleveland, tut tut Laughing

Haven't watched Calendar for a few weeks-- is Jon back off his hols yet?

Jon Mitchell's back yep. Smile Those weather charts never animate without him around! lol Loved seeing him on the steam engine the other night.

I'm guessing Duncan's on his hols at the mo. John and Gaynor have done a good job at the helm this week so kudos to them. Very Happy

Is Lincolnshire (and, indeed, north Norfolk and the north midlands) not worthy of having their exam results mentioned? Rolling Eyes

Talking to a friend 'in the know' this week, and he says that the Sky postcode mapping is expected to change again for those parts of North Yorkshire which were switched from Yorkshire to Tyne Tees about a year ago. Areas such as Harrogate and York should return to getting Yorkshire, as advertisers targeting these parts were reluctant to take out packages on Tyne Tees apparently.

It just shows that the complaints from viewers and a local MP didn't really have an effect - but as soon as those with the money start talking, things start happening.

The counties animated on and I captured it before Lincs appeared. They did mention them though

Of course most of North Yorks doesn't receive Calendar anyway but they couldn't really slice the county in half on the map

Has anybody been watching Crimefighters: Lanes, Trains and Automobiles on a Thursday night on ITV Yorkshire or ITV Granada?

If you have been, did anyone else notice that the trains bit of it featured in a small way in the first 2 episodes and then never again, all the rest of it was based on the roads! I presume when the cameras were there with the British Transport Police, nothing good happened!

Tamsin was only the HLRP of the BBC Yorkshire region in Leeds. Helen Thomas is the current HLRP for the separate region of Yorkshire & Lincolnshire and is based in Hull. The egos here to stay for now Crying or Very sad

Um, are you Dicky Bird repetative rent-a-quote? Seriously, it's been said in this thread MANY times before. It doesn't get any funnier EVERY time you repeat it.

of course to be fair he was on to talk about the controversy in the Test Cricket, rather than as rent-a-Yorkshireman like he so often is
