I have to congratulate you Alf for your text-based Dickie impersonations which make me laugh every time.

Was just thinking the other day... where's Dickie Turd gone? I've not seen Look North / Calendar's favourite rentagob for ages now. Has he run off to the same place that Katherine's gone?

I don't believe Mr Bird has been posting at Digital Spy.

Here is the new BBC Radio Leeds schedule. Georgey is now permanent on Breakfast, Bob's afternoon slot has been extended by an hour, Drivetime is now just an hour (annoying in my opinion) replacing Daragh Cocoran and there's no longer Kick off with Kelner

6.00 Andrew Edwards and Georgey Spanswick
9.00 Graham Liver
12.00 Liz Green Phone-in
14.00 Bob Walmsley
17.00 Julie Langford with Martin Kelner
18.00 Eddie Gray and Adam Pope

The Night Network also has new look with specialist music programmes promoted to a prime time slot, on Monday's its Sally Fairfax and Gary Copley, on Wednesday's its now Bob Preedy's Hot Country (previously Saturdays on MW only), Thursday's Down in the Grooves with James Addyman (previously 1am on Saturdays). Friday's is Sport as usual

Overnights is all new as well with what looks like, live programming

1.00 Daragh Corcoran
4.00 David Smith

At the weekend Breakfast now seems to be presented by randoms and Flashback is now with Daragh Corcoran instead of Georgey.

Meanwhile on BBC Radio Sheffield Diana Luke was on there this afternoon

You're probably right, BBC Online is famously bad when it comes to BBC Local Radio schedules.

Radio Leeds can definally no longer claim to have "more [traffic] updates than the other guys", as they now have less than most neighbouring BBC Local Radio stations, never mind commercial radio.

They've dropped the 4.15 and 4.45pm bulletins meaning people who finish work at 4.00 or 4.30 only get the :30 bulletin and :00 traffic headline. BBC Radio Sheffield have full bulletins every 20 minutes.

I've had to resort to listening out for 'Pulse Eyewitness travel with Richard Alexander Volkswagen, you're number one choice for new and used cars in Huddersfield'!

Well all the information comes from Trafficlink no matter which station you listen to, so it's probably largely the same bulletin.

Looking forward to seeing Mr Levy in "Return to Forbidden Planet" in Skegness. Posters everywhere now, replete with stock photo pasted from the BBC website.

Wonder what part he's got?

David Hockney was in the Hull studio on Andrew Marr's programme this morning & had a go at the BBC in Hull live on air as being incompetant. He was asked to guess what another guest has said and could not hear what was being said. Another classic bit of TV fom BBC ULL.

A slight cockup there at the top of the Ten. Ian White drowning out Dermot's main headlines shouting "I have no script, I have no script"!

Too self-important to walk across to the laser printer on his way into the studio is he?

Urgh I detest the man. What an awfully dull presenter he is. And he's creepy on screen.

Look North Hull featured an 'in depth' investigation this evening into how awful it is that 10 years on, businesses are still adressing letters to people in the area under the 'Humberside' name and failing to recognise the new county names.

Have they forgotten they still have a radio station named after the ill fated county ?

Fantastic!!

I personally thought "Humberside" was a sensible name for the area - it seems logical rather than all this "North East Lincolnshire", "East Riding Of Yorkshire" rubbish.

But still, what does it matter...you still see letters addressed "Coventry, Warwickshire" and similarly my home town listed as "Nuneaton, West Midlands" (referring to counties or authorities) when technically it isn't correct. Who cares!?
